Dr. Carter John Herring Childs

Three visits, the first two were a waist of time. Third visit visit also a waist of time since he was supposed to administer a PFT (which he should have scheduled on my first visit), but had called in sick and no one from Coastal Pulmonary had notified me. Communication skills with patient were also poor IMO.

Showed no interest in my problem. Prescribed me an inhaler and sent me on my way.

Dr Childs lacks professionalism and respect for his patients. He has canceled and rescheduled four appoints with me in about a 4 week period. I had tests run that needed to be read so that my neurologists and cardiologists could evaluate life or death meds for me and he called in sick..understanable if truly sick and the very next apointment he decided at the last minute to take vacation. I ask if he had a PA that could give me the results of the tests and was told NO. His bedside manner is nonexistent...he should hire appropriate people to handle his end of patient health or just simply retire. I have taken the time to secure my test results and am in process of finding a physician to read them for me so that I can go forward with my cardiologists concerning mt meds. Dr Childs is a doctor to avoid completely. His staff are all wonderful and it was very obvious they were embarasses to have to postpone me for the fourth time, very apologetic but it was our of their hands.
