Dr. Cary Lee Stowe, MD

As a medical colleague I knew he was awesome, but really had know idea just fantastic he was until I was his patient. Never have I felt more comfortable. It’s obvious he truly loves what he does. Feel blessed to have him as friend and surgeon!!

Had a complicated MVR surgery and he was always there for me and a great support for my husband & family. He was genuinely involved through all my 'issues'. God Bless him - he is a miracle worker and his entire staff and associates are just as wonderful!

My husband was a vibrant, hard working, responsible, tax paying veteran, this doctor treated us very badly. I believe he did so because we were uninsured, and profiled us as irresponsible and undeserving. After being admitted to the hospital during an emergency situation, this "doctor" actually asked my husband if he was a "homeless alcoholic". After arrogantly informing my husband that he needed surgery. Dr. Stowe performed a thoracic surgery on him. He damaged my husband's intercostal nerve to the point where nearly 6 months later, my husband can not work, or perform normal daily activities because of the pain he was left in. During a follow up appointment with Dr. Stowe a few weeks after the surgery, my husband asked for help with the extreme pain he was in, he treated us as if we were drug seekers and dismissed us by saying " You shouldn't be in any pain. I can't give you the drugs you want and I don't need to see you again." Then he left the room. This doctor refused to… acknowledge what we came to find out was Post Thoracotomy Intercostal Neuralgia. This "doctor" FAILED to inform us of this possibility before the surgery and also FAILED to acknowledge the problem after the surgery. This "doctor" ruined our lives.

I would not recommend this surgeon!!

My husband was referred to Dr. Stowe in 2007. After our first visit we learned that Dr. Stowe was not a provider that was covered under our health insurance. Dr. Stowe and his office staff went out of their way by going through the extra work to become part of our health care provider network so that he could perform the surgery. The surgery was a success. They went above and beyond to take care of him, and I am forever grateful.

The Best Ever!

this doctor saved my life. i really did not want to do the surgery but i wanted to live long enough to see my kids get married.

This surgeon is the best in Florida. He saved my life twice within 5 days in 1997, and replaced my aortic valve in 1998. He is an expert on Marfan's Syndrome. I have had 13 years more of life thanks to this wonderful man. It is my understanding that he studied with Dr. DeBakey, a famous heart surgeon. He treats his patients like pure gold. My mother told me that when I was critical, he hovered over me like an avenging angel. He was also a great comfort to my mother when she was so worried about me that she cried...he sat with her and held her hand. They don't come any better than Dr. Stowe.
