Dr. Cathy Elaine Liesner, MD

I have been seeing Dr Liesner for the past 3 years and she is hands down one of the best, she is very thorough, very kind and compassionate and she listens. I've also had my daughter start to see her as well...can't say enough about her.

I saw Dr Liesner for over 10 years and for routine yearly appointments she was great. Sometimes the waits were long but that seems normal for the specialty. I have to give a bad rating though because when I needed her to listen she didn’t. I had to have surgery for an ovarian cyst, and when 1 month after surgery I started having the same symptoms I felt I wasn’t taken seriously. After 3 months and 3 contacts with her I went elsewhere. My new doctor had me in surgery to remove the same type of cyst within 1 week and I am grateful that she listened. After 1 year of pain and anxiety I feel back to myself.

I have seen Dr. Leisner for several years. She is a smart and savvy doctor whom I am very pleased with. She always spends plenty of time with her patients and I never feel rushed when I am her patient. Also, I began seeing her after another family member had an emergency and the hospital emergency room wanted to do an unnecessary surgery on them! Dr. Leisner was highly recommended by another physician. She was able to diagnose and resolve the issue without surgery that the ER wanted to perform erroneously! Very pleased with this doctor!

Extremely rude reception. I was hung up on out of anger when trying to get a prescription refilled. Took 3 WEEKS to call me back about my file, and I called multiple times on this. When I called before I went into work the "Answering Service" wouldn't take a message. What is the point of even having the answering service if you can't leave simple messages! Also its impossible to get an appointment even if you call more then a month in advance for the day you are looking for. Maybe if they had hours that were before 9am and later then 4pm this wouldn't be a problem. Dr. Leisner was a great doctor, to bad she doesn't have a good staff to back her.

Cathy has been my OB/GYN for almost 20 years (!) and I think the world of her! She's professional, caring, has always answered my questions completely, and delivered my twins 10+ years ago! The only downside I would say, is that you need to call WELL in advance, to get an appointment with her- just called 2 months ahead, and got in, so keep that in mind! She's top notch, sincere, and professional.
