Dr. Chan was able to fix the pinched nerve in my neck by replacing two discs. It's been six months since then and I am feeling like I can move my neck as if I never had an issue. I don't have any of the pain that I had prior to the surgery. I will never be able to thank Dr. Chan enough for saving my life. It's so hard to believe how much better I am now.

I am a 30 year old male that had a herniated disc in the L5-S1 and was in quite a bit of pain. I received a microdiscectomy from Dr. Chanland Roonprapunt and he and his staff did an excellent job from start to finish in explaining the procedure and giving great pre and post op care. I was recommended to him by a friend who is a Physicians Assistant that works for him. I am 13 weeks post op and feel 100% recovered. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to Dr. Chan and his team in the future.

I had a herniated disc which caused a lot of pain going down my legs which effected my walking. It was Dr Chan that performed this necessary surgery. I am now able to walk without any kind of assistance (cane, shopping cart or walker). I have recently walked over 8 miles in a day where before I could hardly walk 1/2 a block. Dr Chan also is a very caring doctor & has a wonderful bedside manner. He explains everything to you in a way that you understand what needs to be done. I feel so lucky to have been referred to him.

I was 9 months into the most debilitating case of Sciatica by the time I went to see Dr. Chan for a second opinion on a proposed Spinal Fusion. Before seeing Dr. Chan I was in the care Orthopedics that approached this with steroid shots, oral steroids, PT and then an Epidural. None relieved me of the pain shooting down my right leg. You know that 1 to 10 Face Scale they give you to describe your pain? I was at a 20 and the face had melted off, this led me to Sinai and Dr. Chan. I cannot express how different I felt after waking up in recovery and not feeling the pain I was in any longer. I honestly wanted to cry. As the days went on and my brain adjusted to that pain being gone, I still wanted to cry because I couldn’t believe what I was living with prior to the Surgery. Dr. Chan changed this. He gave me my life back. , I would call Dr. Chan an exceptionally gifted surgeon. I spent almost an hour longer on the Operating table because the nerve had somehow wrapped itself around and… into the disc. Dr. Chan told me he had never seen anything like it before (I know, I gotta be extra with my injury). But to just think about how capable he is to not only clean up the mess that was my disc, but to also handle the nerve with such care and not cause me further injury is just short of miraculous to me. I highly recommend Dr. Chan. I mean highly. Like…why are you living in that pain? Go see him. Now.

After I fell and fractured my first cervical vertebra, Dr. Roonprapunt helped me *avoid* risky surgery. When the fractures were slow to heal naturally, he recommended a bone-growth stimulation technology that did the trick. Throughout the process, he countered my impatience with thoughtful observations that gave me confidence in his advice. I recommend him wholeheartedly. As a bonus, his support staff is first-rate.

If you want to be disabled for life have this callous idiot perform your surgery.

Dr Chan is an excellent ,caring, and amazing doctor. He performed surgery on me last month on a few hours notice. His bedside manner is TOP , and he made me feel so comfortable from beginning to end. Thank G-d the surgery was very successful. And all my pain went away. Dr Chan continuously checked up on me when I was in rehab and truly treats me like family. I am so thankful and I am so blessed that Dr Chan is my Neurosurgeon.

In my experience with doctors, I had not come across a doctor who was so humane and professional at the same time, his team is excellent and the first-class treatment, thank you all for your wonderful work, God bless you.

I felt annoyed that I had to wait so long,over 95 minutes in the waiting room. When I complained I was taken in shortly afterwards. His predecessor . Despite my history being readily available, he did not review anything before entering for my evaluation. I will find a different doctor for my care. I just do feel this man displays the qualities I feel are basic in a professional.
