Dr. Barclay received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in California and attended medical school at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa, receiving his D.O. degree in 1976. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia and taught Family Medicine in the Army for three years following that. He is board certified in Family Medicine.
He has practiced at DeKalb Medical Physicians Group Stonecrest Primary Care, formerly Snapfinger Family Medicine, since 1983 when he joined the staff of DeKalb Medical Center. In addition to actively practicing family medicine Dr. Barclay has been a member of the Administration at DeKalb Medical Center since 1998 and currently serves as the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Barclay has been married to his wife, Robinette, for over 30 years. They have a son, Andrew, who is pursuing a Masters in Education at UGA, and a …daughter, Katie, who is a practicing clinical psychologist.
