Dr. Charles E Gagnon, DO

He spoke at me not to me. Make you feel less than human...I gave him several chance to get better with his attitude but it got worse.. Disregarded everything I had to say about my hand injury, as if he knows how much pain I'm in. Went as far telling me its nothing he can do for me and you need to find you another job. This is my livelihood. He's rude and arrogant. Stay as far away as possible. Poor bedside manner and lazy care. He's not interested in helping you. He will do the absolute least to further your care and put you back to work at risk of getting a worse injury. Wait time40 min

First thing I want to say is if you have any injury that would require a specialist do not get treated at Concentra by Dr Gagnon. I have had my back fused from S1 to T12 or my entire lumber spine. I suffered a serious fall at work that tore my rotator cup and detached a ligament in my shoulder. This was the least of my injury’s. I also have a stimulator in my back for pain and the fall moved the leads so it doesn’t work properly. So, I asked at every visit to have some tests run, not just X-Rays and Dr Gagnon said he did not know what to run because of the stimulator. So, after three months of physical therapy I continued to get worse. Dr Gagnon told me he had told the insurance company to refer me to a specialist but he didn’t do that as stated in my medical records instead he ordered an IME (Independent Medical Evaluation) which is an evaluation for the insurance company and has no treatment at all. When he did this it shut down all medical help from insurance. For two months I got… help out of my pocket and a simple CAT scan showed the I had broke one of the fusions and moved the leads a full vertebra. So, I was working and getting physical therapy for a broken back which should have never been done. The IME also caused me to get a lawyer to get the help I needed at a cost of 25% of my benefits. STAY AWAY FROM Dr Gagnon if you get referred, he has the insurance company’s interest and not yours. You have that right.

Spoke at me like I was a child, not to me. Disregarded everything I had to say as if he knew how much pain I was in. Assumed that I was fine because "I look physically fit". Rude and arrogant. Stay as far away as possible. Bring someone with you if you can so you can have a witness to how he treats you with poor bedside manner and lazy care. Did nothing but pass me on to someone else. He's not interested in helping you. He will do the absolute least to further your care.

Dr. Gagnon has the absolute worst bedside manner. He dismissed my injury even after he palpated hard and cranked on my arm which made my injury worse. He then said I wasn't injured because "You didn't grimace enough when I was palpitating you and that's usually what people do when they are in pain". No prescription for physical therapy because "Your injury will heal regardless if you get therapy or not. I won't write you a prescription for a pain reliever either because I don't want to be throwing pills at you and that's just how workers comp goes". He handed me off to another doctor because he was too lazy to attempt to assist me with my injury claim. By far the most unhelpful experience I've ever had with a doctor. I'm surprised he has made it this far in his career treating people like trash. Request another doctor before seeing him or else he will waste your time and further discourage you while you are already vulnerable and in pain.

This doctor should not be practicing I would give him a complete zero He will not review mri or xrays and take the word of an existing doctor who has no idea what your injury is .Also send you back to to work even though yopu are not even 50% better that is his job. He also lies about things that he also lies about care that you denied even though you did not discuss it with him I would not ever go back this person

What a great doctor. Very easy to talk to and listened to what I had to say. He would re-evaluate me each time I would come in and although I had been in physical therapy he gave me additional exercises and bands to do them with and would check each week on my progress. He showed interest in me as a person not just as a patient and would recall incidents that we had talked about at the previous appointment. I would highly recommend him to all of my friends and colleagues. He made sure I was ready to be released after considering the best treatment for me. His health assistant was the best.

I had a terrible experience with this Doctor. After getting a fracture in my neck I requested a follow up MRI for 4 months down the road to ensure I was healing properly- (I'm still in a lot of pain) he said that doing that "would not help him". He also said he would not do that for his own daughter or wife. Also while asking questions he got frustrated and left the room. Terrible bed side manner and completely immature. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Rude. Didn't listen. Smug. Talked at me, not to me. Treated me like I was wasting his time.Accused me of wanting drugs and time off. Should retire and leave the doctoring to people with a heart still beating.

It should be said the staff and the physical therapy department were fantastic. Dr. Gagnon should not be a doctor. He does not care about people. I saw him 3 times and it probably totaled 6-7 minutes. He left the door open to my exam room and was obviously in a rush, checking his watch after I interrupted him to get a word in. He had ZERO desire to listen to a word I said. He wrote me a script for generic ibuprofen after I told him 3 times I was done taking pills for my back injury. He accused me of wanting more time off after I told him I am not ready to go back to work. I told him I wanted more physical therapy and I was close to healing 100%, but if I go back now I can get hurt again and then what was all this good for? He didn't want to listen to a word I said. He suggested I get another doctor and told me he would get me a pillow for my back (3rd time he said that to me...hey doc...still waitin' on that pillow). In closing... Everyone out there listen to your girlfriend when… you call her after seeing Dr. Gagnon and she tells you to get a new DR. I regret seeing him 2 more times. WORST DOCTOR EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor bedside manner, RUDE. Will ask you to "bend over" until you feel pain, then physically push you farther. Released me fully to work even if work involves lifting over 150 pounds even if you cannot lift 30 without being laid up for 2 days. Furthermore he will watch videotaped survellience that shows you doing nothing more than done in physical therapy, that doesn't show you laid up after the fact WITHOUT discussing it with you. I was sent to him by my treating physician to discuss anti inflammatory meds I could take because ibuprofen was causing stomache pain, and I have poor tolerance with narcotics. He told me to take ibuprofen regardless. Obviously he does NOT listen or care to read medical history.
