Dr. Charles Gatt Jr., MD

I race motocross (dirt bike) and had multiple injuries throughout the years. I met Dr Gatt in 2001 after a bad left shoulder dislocation, torn rotator cuff, frozen shoulder etc. all in one crash! That was the first surgery that I had wit Dr. Gatt, and he put me back on my feet (or should I say back on my dirt bike) in a few months. From there on, each time I injured myself (too many times), I always put my faith in him: 2 ACL reconstructions (right and left knee in 2010 and 2011), torn labrum (right shoulder), two broken collarbones (left and right). Dr Gatt never pushes to surgery until there is no other options: he did not operate on my left collarbone which I was surprised because I thought it looked bad ... but he was right, the collarbone healed w/o surgery within a couple months. For the right collarbone, he plated it: I was back to normal after 6 weeks. Every single surgery he did was a success. But I also visited him for many other injuries not requiring surgery e.g. sprained… ankle, broken wrist, broken hand, dislocated elbow and every time (again) I was back to normal in no time. So as you can read, I am not giving a feedback on Dr. Gatt after one single visit (lol), I know what I am talking about ... and Dr. Gatt is one of the best (if not the best) at what he is doing. So, look no further if you need an orthopedic surgeon, you'll be happy.

Great visit and he explained everything

I played football at Rutgers University. Prior to any injuries I ran a 4.41 in the 40 yard dash. My senior year in high school I won the Meet of Champions in track for the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.51 seconds, which ranked in the top 10 in America. After tearing both of my ACLs (in which Dr. Gatt operated on both), I came back to run a 4.35 and then eventually a 4.27 in the 40 yard dash and I was able to make it in to the NFL, where I lived out my dreams and intercepted Tim Tebow. I was nervous and felt uneasy with the first doctor I went to for an opinion, but when I went to Dr. Gatt I felt extremely comfortable and I recommend him for anyone. I can't thank you enough Dr. Gatt. .

He is a great doctor with the best bedside manner. He is very compassionate , a rare MD. He has helped me a lot to mange my knee osteoarthritis. I highly recommend Dr. Gatt. His staff are very skillful and cordial.
