Dr. Charles Stuart Lefton, MD

Dr Leftovers n is wonderful. He did a fantastic job on my knees, 2003 and 2011. They are still great shape and it is now 2019. I’m so glad I found him!

Dr Lefton is a great dr and surgeon. He replaced both my knees.??Although I wanted surgery at one point, he said that is the last step. He went through every step possible before I had surgery. About PT, every dr wants you to go through PT for just about any injury. I had experience at 3 places. Don’t waste your time on others. Their PT gave me success. They are very good.

Women at front desk very nice, but it STOPS there. Dr. Lefton's male aid is not friendly. On both appts I've had with Lefton, he's rude, tugged at my injury depite I was clearly in pain. I felt as if he doubted it even hurt. Was a terrible experience and I will not go to him again. When I noted how something hurt, he even rolled his eyes at me, as if to say 'give me a break'. And I'm not a lightweight. We shouldn't have to pay for this level of treatment. I'm now with another Dr. in the same practice and MUCH happier. Dr. Lefton - it's time to retire. You're clearly burnt out and your bedside manner is less than Poor.

Dr. Lefton spent maybe 5 minutes with my daughter who was in so much pain that she could no longer walk in the boot that he prescribed. He said "I don't know what is wrong" and referred me to a practice who specializes in pediatrics despite advertising that Dr. Lefton is the "pediatric specialist" at Commonwealth. As he shuffled me out the door he asked where the boot was that I just told him she no longer can wear. Three visits, four weeks of pain and counting, and back to square one. Don't bother.

He only sees dollar signs when you walk in the door. If you dont need surgery, he cant wait to get rid of you. Couldnt be bothered to answer any questions; saw him twice, 1st visit for 10 minutes and follow up for 5 minutes. Just walks out. Refused to answer questions and steers you toward his own PT group.(from which he also gets compensated) Why go to and MD if he just wants a PT to deal with you? 1st appt was 1/2 late, 2nd appt was 55 minutes late. Rude, unhelpful and cant be bothered with you. I'm going to look for another and far better orthopedist. Seeing him was a waste of time and money. I'm back at square one.

I went in to see Dr Lefton about two and a half years ago and he found what my own doctor found to confirm that I needed surgery, which was a complicated Osteochondritus at the age of 27. He fixed it and I went through about 6 months of rehab, which now turns out to be a solid knee. Now going back for the other knee.
