Dr. Charles Edward Lerner, MD

After a long search for a component doctor who is a no nonsense physician, I found Dr. Lerner. He is very personable and down to earth.

I researched many doctors online in looking for a new primary doctor and called several to make an appointment. Every one I called either were not taking new patients, or had a wait for new patients of anywhere of 1-3 months (unless I was willing to be seen by a RN/NP/PA). I finally found Dr. Lerners profile on several different websites and decided to call his office. Fortunately I was able to make an appointment with less than a 2 week wait for an annual physical. The office is adjacent to a smallish shopping center in a nice, small free-standing office building with small town feel typical of Celebration. The waiting room is cozy and comfortable, and Wisteria at the front desk is friendly. There were no patients ahead of me waiting to see the doctor so I had a fairly short wait before a nurse (PA?) called me back to take vitals and ask some basic questions. My wait to see Dr. Lerner from that point was very short (probably less than10 mins). From the moment Dr. Lerner… entered the exam room he was warm and friendly with a very energetic, happy and positive demeanor. Dr Lerner seemed to be very thorough in performing the physical, made lots of notes and asked many questions to make sure he fully understood my general health and unique health conditions. I found Dr. Lerner very easy with whom to discuss a few particular health conditions/concerns and he answered all of my of questions. I can say that my time with the doctor was not quite as slow-paced and methodical as I prefer but that seems to be the case with all doctors these days. I think Dr. Lerner is better than most for this and I feel like Dr. Lerner gave me his full attention and concern. Dr. Lerner is a former Active-duty US Army Flight Surgeon, and speaks fondly and proudly of his time in the service . Overall, based on one visit I would say that Dr. Lerner is a happy, capable, skilled and knowledgeable doctor who loves what he does for work.
