I had an horrible experience with Dr. Morgan at Central Alabama ENT Associates in Montgomery about two weeks ago. This was my first and last visit to this office. I was seeking assistance for a plugged and painful left ear, but I received what felt like barbaric and merciless treatment by Dr. Morgan. He told me that I had impacted earwax and to lie still on the table while his assistant administered ear drops, and he begun to immediately try to remove the earwax. This experience grew excruciatingly more painful and almost intolerable as he switched between the use of different tools while he dug deeper and deeper into my ear canal. I begun to cry and then sob loudly —— almost uncontrollably ——due to the intense pain. Any and everyone in that office within the sound of my voice, which extended well beyond that closed door heard my cries. It garnered the attention of a second lady that came into the room to try to calm me down by holding my hand, rubbing my leg, and offering a few… soothing words. She appeared to be the most sympathetic person in the room. Dr. Morgan definitely never exhibited any sympathy or empathy to me at all. I even stopped him a couple of times and eventually sat up to ask if he could administer some numbing medication, pain medication or do anything different because the pain was unbearable. I never felt like I was being heard. He would just tell me to lie back down and be still. It would be over soon. I must’ve been in that room for 30+ mins or so. After he finally got the wax out of my ear, he sighed and mentioned that that was something else. Dr. Morgan said that it was like someone had power drilled that wax deep down in there. I would have gone to the ER if I had known what was in store for me with Dr. Charles Morgan. I was (still am) just in shock!!! What would he have done for a child or an elderly person with a severely impacted ear??? A good doctor would know that he/she would need to alter or administer treatment differently based on that particular patient. We are human beings, not just medical subjects!!! No office staff ever called me to follow up on my treatment. My left ear doesn’t feel quite right, but I’m afraid to have anyone else look at it at time. Still slightly traumatized...

I had sinus surgery several years ago by Dr. Morgan, after I had it unsuccessfully a few months earlier by a local surgeon. Dr. Morgan is lacking with bedside manners, but so are many other good surgeons. I have been under his limited care for approx. 10 yrs. and he has always attended to my medical needs. My biggest concern is that when I call his office for medical attention I need it in a day or so not a wk. later. I have referred him to several of my friends from north Alabama just for the fact that he helped me where no other doctor locally could. They just wanted to keep trying other surgeries, and I only had to have one surgery with Dr. Morgan.

Terrible, terrible experience!!! This man has no bedside manner whatsoever!! He laid eyes on my dad, and quickly said that he has one of three diagnosis that only a neurologist can determine. He has no social skills and apparently has a chip on his shoulder. He was so rude to my family and gave the impression that he didn't even feel like dealing with my dads case. His resident was not helpful either! Don't waste your time with this jerk!

His bedside manor is not so great, but he is a wonderful surgeon. I worked for him of 8 yrs and he is top's in his profession. Hey you want some one to blow smoke up you a-- or do the job well?

MADE COMPLETE WRONG DIAGNOSES! HAD ME SET UP FOR SURGERY, IN THE OR, AND WAS GOING TO OPERATE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF ME. WHEN I QUESTIONED THIS, HE GOT FURIOUS,UNHOOKED MY IV, AND TOLD ME TO GET OUT OF THE OR PREP AREA. BAD, DO, BAD BESIDE, AND TO THINK THAT HE IS A PROFESSOR...LETS JUST SAY, THANK GOD HE DID NOT OPERATE. IT WOULD HAVE PROBABLY LEFT ME NEEDING RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY!
