Dr. Charline Bayon Simmons, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Simmons for nearly 5 years. She has helped me to reach my goal of coming off of medications and managing my symptoms through meditation and other coping skills. Dr. Simmons is kind, patient, caring, and professional. She also has many great recommendations for supportive resources. It has been a pleasure to be her patient!

I have been seeing Dr. Simmons for a while. Has helped me with guidance and tools to overcome various challenges I’ve had. Always felt safe to talk about anything that has been bothering me, and had great conversations. I have seen other therapist that always resorted to medications but with Dr. Simmons I have been able to obtain great breakthroughs without meds which was not expected given my previous experiences. I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend Dr. Simmons to a friend.

I found my work with Dr. Simmons to be helpful and insightful. She is provided a supportive and non judgemental presence who helped me work through past traumas, current day to day issues and helped improve my overall mental health and coping skills.

Dr. Simmons does nto assume that every patient needs medication, and really believes that being more attuned to yourself, your feelings and your body is key - so she's treating me with a mix of the medication I was on and helping me learn to stop and check in with myself, meditate and become more aware of my own reaction in the world. Not a typical psychiatrist, but it is nice to find someone who doesn't' start from an assumption that I am broken and need to be medicated to manage in this world.

I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend this doctor. The office was fine, the ease of making an appointment was fine, and the wait time was fine. However, I feel there is a lack of professionalism she exhibits, for several reasons, and because of that it was hard to develop a bond of trust. For a mental health professional, it's important to feel safe with your doctor.
