Summary
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, though moved to the United States in 1983 to pursue a Master's in Public Health (epidemiology) at Harvard School of Public Health. I was drawn to anesthesiology because as a medical student I found myself fascinated by the pharmacology and science of anesthesia. I know that families are so worried prior to surgery, especially for their children, and as an anesthesiologist I can help to allay both the patient's pain and the fear of loved ones. Following my residency in anesthesiology, I chose to undertake a further year of subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia. I enjoy gardening, playing tennis and taking long walks with my wife. I have two children in college.
