Dr. Cheryl Michelle Belle, MD

You ever read reviews about a Doctor and say, "there's no way it's that bad." Well, she really is that bad. Like the others say she's extremely condescending and very unhelpful. You should save your money (or insurance) for a doctor that's not going to waste your time and actually cares about the quality of care they're providing.

Never in my life have I dealt with a doctor so condescending and unhelpful. She was at least 30 minutes late to each appointment and it would take weeks for her to refill a prescription (the only reason for the appointment). I had to call the office every day for weeks at a time to check the status of my refill only for her to put in a request for an entirely different medication that had serious mental health side-effects. All of this could’ve been easily avoided if she read any of the medical records that I had provided her with. It was like she’d go out of her way to make this extremely difficult year even harder. I’d laugh at the entire situation if it wasn’t so depressing. Everyone else was nice and extremely helpful, but I’ve never met a more callous and blatantly disrespectful doctor.

Wait times were always outrageous. The receptionists are the most rude, unwelcoming staff I have ever encountered. Worst of all, they had pocketed my "copay" unbeknownst to me while claiming it "went towards my deductible". I later discovered from my insurance that Dr. Belle's office only reported one of my payments towards my deductible. Additionally, Dr. Belle reported claims to insurance (supposedly to get money from them) for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions for which I have never had in my entire life nor been diagnosed with. This doctor is unprofessional and a complete scam. I wish I had sued her. I was a college student, too young and preoccupied with student life to know any better.

The staff there are very much unprofessional. She makes black female doctors look bad. She’s not empathetic at all. It’s very easy to get and appointment however There are no follow up appointments, prescriptions are not sent to the pharmacy, no one answers the phone. Very unprofessional.

She did not put my prescriptions in at mcv 3 times in one year I had to call her over and over each time after seeing her and paying it was a nightmare!!!

Very thorough, and interested in helping. Took all of my complaints seriously, and tried to resolve them.

All about the money! Was a loyal patient of this Dr. Belle for years she stopped taking my insurance and never informed me then sent me a bill months later then refused to call in my blood pressure refill because of the dispute and would not help in working out the problem with the insurance company. All this left me with out medications. All about the money.

I really wish I would have seen these reviews before I scheduled an appointment with this woman.... Dr. Belle is by far the worst doctor I have every been to. I needed a referral for an MRI, and didn't have a primary care doctor in the Richmond area to provide me with one (because I am a student here). So I blindly picked her name off a list of doctors in my network. She refused to give me the MRI referral (apparently the 6months worth of notes from my physical therapist were not enough evidence for her) and said that I had to go to an Orthopedic before she could consider it. I was told by her that an appointment was made for me at an Orthopedic in my insurance network and was given a referral. When I arrived for the appointment, I was told the referral was not legitimate. They called Dr. Belle, but no answer- which isn't surprising because she never returned my calls in the first place. I had to leave the Orthopedic and go to her office in person only to be rudely told that she was… not giving me a referral and I needed to get out of her office and find another doctor. Do yourself a favor and do NOT go to this doctor. She is rude and totally incompetent

I have never experienced any of the problems some have expressed. I love to joke and cut up with the staff, when work is to be done, then work it is, they are always very cordial with me. Dr. Belle, is always as professional as she can be, she is stern when she needs to be, as I am stubborn, but she gets her point across, PROFESSIONALLY AND POLITE. So I, guess I can't under what some are saying. My daughter now goes to her, and she even likes her. Show some love for a doctor who cares.I do!

I am beyond disappointed. The doctor and the staff members are very rude and unprofessional. The nurses don't seem to be well trained in any subject matter neither do they care. No one answers to your questions or to your calls. Also they have hung up on me many time before I could finish talking. And of course I have NEVER received a call back. They give you unnecessary appointments and when you go to the appointment, they ask you why you are here, which I believe they should already know as discussed over during making the appt. It seems as though the Doctor is very unhappy with her job and so is the staff- even then she shouldn't be so rude to her patients. I have never received such treatment from any Doctor in my life before and reading other reviews - I guess I am not the only one. The whole point of this review is to take in consideration of how patients are being treated and how we feel- so please TAKE ACTION.
