Dr. Chinyoung Park, MD

Fantastic. Been to many doctors and none as thorough as Dr. Park. She spent far more time with me listening and doing the physical and then called me with test results. Made diagnosis that prior 2 docs had missed. My internal med doc also says she the best in the ara.

Dr. Park should be better but is not. Don't waste your time with her, you deserve better. I am so happy I switched to a much more skilled and personable doctor who is invested in my positive outcomes. Dr Park...frequently runs late, rushes through her time with me. Dr Park is seldom prepared for me, often forgets my name and condition and has to search her computer for the answers. I don't think she listens well because she is reading in her computer. I don't think she communicates well. 4yrs and still no stated treatment plan! How she answers my questions has caused me to be skeptical of her medical advice. She frequently dosen't return phone calls or messages on mychart. Avoid this Dr. you deserve better!

After having great success with other ILBJ locations and doctors for my child, I decided to try them for a second opinion for my healthcare issue. Saw Dr. Park and she is possibly the worst physician I’ve ever seen. At the start, I had hopes. She seemed to have great credentials and would have the knowledge to help. But far from it! She was horribly rude, always running an hour+ late because she overbooks, then tries to rush you out of the office when you have concerns. When she’s in too long over her 15 minute appt time, nurses continue to come in and interrupt to remind her she has other people waiting - well I waited over an hour. I can get more than 5 minutes of her time! She even forgot my name in the middle of our appt and had to check my chart! What an absolute, incompetent physician. Do not waste your time with Chinyoung Park!

I had my first and only appointment with Dr. Park, who was recommended over the other Rheumatologists at IBJ. I waited 90 minutes to see her. The staff told me they are always way behind. She came in with her agenda. Was dismissive and didn't listen. As a RN I was angry. Her parting advice was we can put you on steroids. I swear she did not listen to a word I said or read my chart. I can't have steroids unless it is keep me off a ventilator. She told me I could go to a pool to walk, again she didn't register that I have Severe respiratory issues, a rare clotting disorder and due to Influenza, COVID and RSV this is the time of year I have to "hibernate". She just dismissed me and left after the staff opened the door for the second time to move her along. This visit was a total waste of my time. Not helpful whatsoever.

This was my third visit to Dr. Park's office in Des Plaines. I waited almost 2 hours and never saw the Dr. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment time. They called me back into a room 15 minutes after I was checked in. The nurse took my blood pressure and got my information. I then waited in the room for a hour and 45 minutes. At that point, I was fed up and left. I told the office receptionist that waiting for that long is asinine, disrespectful and inconsiderate of my time. I drove 45 minutes to the office, got a sitter for my kids, and waisted a whole day. Never will return to see her again.

Had an appointment recently and let me say this Dr. Listens, isn't the least bit dismissive. Sometimes there are various items that she will take the time to explain untill I understand what's happening with regard to a chronic illness I'm dealing with. She also calls me back directly

Dr. Park asked questions and analyzed my pain from a physical and emotional perspective. Her treatment included traditional and holistic choices. She was easy to talk to and caring.

Very easy to talk to. Made sure I understood everything. Because I was so worried, called my back over weekend to go over lab tests and my prescriptions.

The first time I saw her she seemed very kind and like she cared a lot. Gave a lot of info and asked a lot questions. Second time she was rude and didn't recall things she mentioned during the first visit. Seemed to try to ditch me as a patient. I basically agreed to this, but she sadly told me to make an appointment as she wandered out into the hallway. I had no intention of going back, but went at the urging of another doctor. Seemed pointless really. Like she was just tolerating me. She also just walked out of the room while I was still talking. I don't know what is going on with this doctor. I have my own rude tendencies and appreciate people being succinct, but she is about to fall into the category of people who tell me I don't feel how I feel.

Because there was a 3 mo. wait for Dr. Eisenberg, I made an appt. with Dr. Park. She said to swim or put hot applications on my neck and come back in 2 wks. I did and wasn't any better. I told her Dr. G.E. had said I could double the Salsalate pills any time. Dr. Park insisted on2 blood tests, one because at one time I had low platelets, the other because I am thin, she wanted a thyroid test. I told her I had all blood work done 2 mos. ago and I could get the print out. Before I new it the nurse came in and took the blood. Dr. Park didn't come back to the room so I asked a nurse to send her to see me. She stuck her head in and I said, "What about my neck?" She shrugged and said it's just arthritus. 2 days later she called me and said your blood work is very fine. I would never recommend her and feel like it is an injustice to Dr. Eisenberg to have a "sub" like her. I feel it is not fair to be billed for the blood test and besides, she did not call the mail order in for Salsalate. Not… at all happy about Dr. Park!
