Dr. Chris Michael Teigland, MD

I had my initial consultation with Dr. Teiglund and his staff in 2013. They thoroughly explained my options and encouraged me to consider them all but not take too much time because, afterall, it's cancer. I ultimately decided on brachytherapy mainly because I was concerned about the after effects of my other options. My procedure was painless and effective. My PSA levels dived to begin with but then began to move up and down at low levels. I was told to expect this. After five years of monitoring PSA levels every six months Dr. Teiglund declared me "cured". I will always thank Drs. Teiglund and Dr. Stephen Switek for their years of professional care and honesty. Unfortunately Dr. Switek has retired and Dr. Teiglund will be retiring at the end of 2019. Such a well of knowledge, kindness and professionalism! I have been so lucky to have these doctors! The Levine Cancer Institute can save your life!

If I could, I would give zero stars. I saw Dr. Teigland for an exam, sent in two sets of MRI DVD results along with two biopsy results as requested before the visit by his staff. Within a month, I began to receive bills(charges) from other Doctors that Dr. Teigland chose to, without my knowledge or concent, send my reports to be re-read a third time. He is a charlitian. I just received a phone call from a collection agency. Do not get caught in his trap!

If excellence is the constant pursuit of perfection then Dr. Teigland is an excellent doctor! In my opinion,he is an excellent doctor.

Spent 13 years with recurrent bladder cancer. Waited until it was way in to growth before I went to a doctor. This bladder cancer was a known recurrent cancer and sure enough due to the severity of the first cancer it kept coming back. Dr. Teigland spent many hours working on this and at one time the discussion came up to remove the bladder. Due to his reluctance because of my age, we agreed to keep fighting this. That 13 years ended 8 years ago. I think many a doctor would have given up long before he did. Thank God he did not give up.

DR TEIGLAND IS AN EXCELLANT DOCTOR ,HE HAS THE BEST BEDSIDE MANNORS OF ANY DR MY FAMILY HAS EVER BEEN TO. HE IS THE MOST EDUCATED, DEDICATED, CARING PHYSICAN . HE PERFORMED MY HUSBANDS ROBOTIC PROSTATECTOMY SURGERY. HE WAS EXCELLANT..... AND MY HUSBAND IS DOING GREAT. WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE.... ALSO A GREAT STAFF VERY PLEASANT AN HELPFUL.

My husband was treated by Dr Tiegland after surgery by another doctor. As his PSA slowly started to rise, Dr. T began to get concerned and looked at the post-op report from the surgery and found an unclear margin which gave him more concern. He formulated a plan for how much he would let the PSA rise before action would be taken and when that day came, he quickly acted an got my husband into treatment by an oncologist who administered radiation treatments. He is monitored regularly by Dr. T and we are very optimistic for the future. I have recommended Dr. T to others.
