Dr. Christian Peterson, DO

Dr. Christian Peterson saw my wife today for an appointment to look at her injured knee for a 2nd time as she is still having issues with it after going to PT for some time. Dr. Peterson was EXTREMELY dismissive & refused to even examine her knee stating that the popping, clicking & redness/warmth that comes from her knee was an inflammatory disease issue & not an injury. When she asked if he would take a look at her knee & examen it to see what was going on as they were in person, he refused. She asked if he looked at every slide of her MRI because she is still in pain for her knee. He stated that he didn’t need to look at every slide because the radiologist already looked at all of the imaging. She asked if she could have a second opinion from another Dr & he stated that she already had 2 doctors look at her (him & the radiologist) & that she didn’t need to see another doctor to tell her the same thing that he was telling her. She has obviously never been examined in person with the… radiologist & Dr. Peterson did not go through all of her imaging himself. When my wife starting tearing up because Dr. Peterson was being dismissive towards her & refused to even exam her, he stated that she was just tearful because he said that she didn’t need surgery. She started crying because he was not listening to her & refused to exam her knee, not because he said that she didn’t need surgery. No one ever wants to have surgery, it’s a huge disruption to someone’s life to have to have surgery with work & home life. We just received her chart notes from mychart & he lied on her chart notes stating that he examined her knee when he never touched her knee & straight up refused to look at her knee. This doctor should have ZERO interactions with any sort of patients as he lacks any sort of bedside manner, refuses to examine patients (even when they ask), & then LIES in their chart & doesn’t notate that he refused medical care. If you want a doctor that actually cares, doesn’t refuse medical care, & doesn’t lie on your chart DO NOT go to Dr. Peterson!!! I have NEVER seen a doctor be so disrespectful, dishonest, & dismissive before in my ENTIRE life!!!!!!!!

After years of having a dr and his retirement I was blessed to find such a wonderful Seattle Dr , with a great personality and extremely sharp and patient and a great communicator. He is a no nonsense guy who is a great Dr . I am thrilled to have found him .

Surgeons as a rule are pompous, arrogant and Trump-like. However, I was made to feel like I was an idiot and not worth talking directly to, although it was MY broken hip we were going to repair. Dr Peterson is all of those stereotypes and more. Come on!, A broken hip is a really big deal and he treated it and me as if we were too unimportant to take seriously.

I am sure he is a great surgeon, but I felt he could not be bothered with me.

In an ER situation we don't have the luxury to choose a surgeon, Thankfully Dr. Peterson is affiliated with NW Hospital and he was there when our situation arose. His pro-active care is greatly appreciated as we have heard more re-active situations from friends/family in other traumatic cases; we believe with his guidance and care we will have the best outcome for our situation - which was a crushed to and amputation. Thank you Dr. Peterson!
