Dr. Christin Neal Richardson, MD

I have been a patient of Capital Area OB/GYN for about 17 years and Dr. Richardson has been my doctor for the bulk of those years. I’ve had five wonderful pregnancies and deliveries of healthy beautiful babies. I feel very comfortable and welcomed here. She is warm and inviting, caring, vigilant and helpful. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I would definitely recommend her and this practice, everyone here is lovely and welcoming.

Very unfriendly staff and the doctor has made several misdiagnosis and misjudgement for my condition. Unclear instruction on follow up actions.

I went in to see Dr. Richardson when I was 4 weeks pregnant due to some spotting. I know this can be normal in early pregnancy but still wanted to get checked out. Before even examining me, she told my fiancé and I that I had a chemical pregnancy and I lost the baby. In the same conversation, she also rudely asked if I wanted her to write me a prescription for birth control. Then, after the examination, I believe she realized that she may have been wrong but could not admit that to me. I got blood work done and she sent me home, still thinking my pregnancy was not viable. I was told she would call the next morning with results from the bloodwork, and I never got a phone call. She did message me on the portal, and even though my hCG levels looked okay in my bloodwork, she still told me there is only a “small chance of a normal pregnancy,” even after telling her the spotting stopped after a few hours and I was still pain free. I am now 7 weeks, STILL happily pregnant, and I will not be… returning to Dr. Richardson.

I had a perinatal loss and in less than 6 months a miscarriage for both of which i was under Doctor Richardson's Consultation and guidance. I don't know how I would have dealt with any of these darkest phases of my life if I had not been under the guidance of Doctor Richardson. She is one of a kind not only in evaluating and helping her patients through the process but also in willing go that extra mile in providing any and all answers through the interactive patient portal and in person. The staff and esp her nurse Miss Ashley are very supportive. She is never tired of answering the same questions over and over again. she is very encouraging if you ask that you want a second opinion. In fact she will provide referrals wherever you ask without zero hesitation and with complete trust. She doesn't feel insecure or bothered by such questions. In fact she encouraged me to change my Ob/Gyn if i wanted to as she told me she understands coming back to the same office may trigger the memories… of your lost children. She is full of compassion and very empathetic. We really respect her and are grateful to her for all the support she provided. I will strongly recommend her to all of my friends.

Dr. Richardson goes above and beyond the call of duty. She has compassion for her patients and cares about their well being, both physical and mental. She saw me through 3 miscarriages and a stillbirth. She helped me deliver 3 healthy children and was willing to see me weekly for my last son to keep me sane (pregnancy after the stillbirth). I would recommend her to anyone.

I have been going to Dr. Richardson for many years now and I feel that she is one of the best doctors in the Triangle. Sometimes her waiting room is full and busy but it is worth the wait. I had a painful condition that went undiagnosed for many years until I went to see Dr. Richardson who finally gave me hope. She diagnosed me quickly and accurately and provided treatment that ended my needless suffering. She takes the time to explain any procedures or tests. She is also very patient in answering questions and easing any fears. Dr. Richardson is also very skilled at minimizing any pain or discomfort during tests and procedures. I trust her completely and would recommend her to any woman who wants exceptional care.

I cannot imagine a Doctor with specialization in neurological surgery will make a simple mistake of cutting a wrong organ during a straightforward C-section procedure. She must not have done a lot of procedures to be good at it. Had a terrible experience with other doctors at Capital Area OB GYN. Please avoid doctors at this office. The staff is rude and doctors think they are from another planet and somehow superior. Dr. Richardson hardly sent 5 minutes during delivery and before long suggested to do C-section which she botched. An intern trainee doctor from a 3rd world does not make a mistake like the one she made. Please avoid her and Capital Area OB GYN office in general.
