Dr. Christina Marie Flannelly, MD

Dr. Christina M. Flannelly was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and grew up in Arlington, Virginia. She was an Echol’s Scholar at the University of Virginia and graduated in 1984 with a B.A. in Biology and English Literature. Dr. Flannelly attended Duke University School of Medicine, where she was president of AOA, the medical student honor society, and participated in teaching health classes to local middle school students and in research projects with the department of Neonatology. She completed her pediatric residency training at the University of North Carolina in 1991. Dr. Flannelly has practiced part-time at North Raleigh Pediatrics since July of 1991 with a special interest in newborn care, toddler growth and development, and diabetes. She was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1991, with recertification in 1998 and 2005. She is a member of the North Carolina Pediatric Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She lives in North Raleigh with her …husband, a licensed psychologist, her son and daughter, and two cats. Dr Flannelly enjoys gardening, sewing and Irish Stepdancing.
