Dr. Christine Dobrosky Cairns, MD

I found Dr Cairins as a third opinion for an issue that other providers (in other offices) had brushed off as a routine illness. She was the first Dr to believe me about the severity of my symptoms and took the time to do additional tests to try and find the cause of my problem. Ultimately, she was able to diagnose me with a rare condition and point me in the right direction to seek further help. I greatly appreciate that she took the time to listen to me and believe in my description of the symptoms, instead of being quick to jump to the more logical and normal diagnosis.

I came into the office and waited thirty five minutes to speak to the doctor, whom I was with for maybe ten minutes. I was seeking a tonsillectomy as a twenty nine year old adult male. I mentioned I was a smoker on a cessation plan and that I usually had one alcoholic beverage a night five nights a week. Dr. Cairns immediately told me she would not perform any sort of surgical procedure until I was six weeks smoke free and was incredibly judgemental about my lifestyle choices. She didn't ask any questions about my other health aspects such as exercise, job, or anything else pertaining to my life. Just focused on the smoking and drinking. She told me that while she couldn't quote a study that said these things had any direct correllation to post op complications she was uncomfortable performing the surgery until her demanded time frame had been met. Why six weeks? She wasn't sure it just "sounded right". I got a second opinion the next week with another ENT, who booked the surgery and… I'm on day five of recovery, I'd still be waiting for dr. Cairns at this point, and I've had not one complication this far. The office also charged my insurance over $800 dollars for the ten minute office visit of which I am responsible for 381 of. I will be calling when I'm feeling better to have it out with them. I'll die before I give her more than my two cents. She was incredibly judgemental, rude, and frankly unprofessionally wrong. She didn't even run any tests or do any sort of exam. She immediately refused me treatment. I'm considering reporting her to Morristown memorial for unethical treatment.

Dr Cairns is the most humblest, sweetest doctor I have ever met. She goes above and beyond for her patients. She is the best!

After years of doctors telling me nothing was wrong with my son having chronic inflammation, ear pain, drainage from nose, chronic cough, we went to Dr Cairns. My daughter was previously by dr. Kanowitz however we went with dr cairns as she had open appointments. Within minutes I was grateful to have met her. She recommeded tonsils adneoids ear tubes for my son as they were enlarged and likely had sleep apnea given symptoms. She was so careful, took into considerationmy sons asthma, spoke with me on the phone to explain reasons for a hopsital placement rather than a surgical center where my son would get better care to manage those symptoms. She just completed the surgery and we are home. I was so comforted by her, knowledgable, great calm demeanor, and great with my son in a highly stressful situation she provided reassurance. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you Dr Cairns.

My son suffered from chronic ear aches. Dr. Cairns was so patience and attentive. Her course of treatment has been a life saver. We used to go to monthly visits in search of an answer. Finally we found a doctor to take the time to listen. Great with kids, too!! Highly recommend.

I specifically sought out a doctor specializing in salivary glands for my painful and sore parotid glands, and the only thing she told me was, “I don’t know what’s wrong with you”. Not only that, but she refused to order any diagnostic testing or try to point me in the right direction of someone who may be able to help since she clearly had no idea. All she told me was to try lemon drops and come back in 2 weeks. And then she left in a hurry. This is one of the most unknowledgeable, unhelpful and unfriendly doctors I’ve ever met in my life. Avoid her at all costs.

Took my son to see her last week. Takes time to listen, great bedside manner, squeezed us in for a hearing test without an appt. and was friendly. Highly recommend her!
