Dr. Christopher Paul Demers, MD

My overall rating of one star relates more to the front office than the back. I arrived 13 minutes prior to scheduled appointment only to sit in the waiting room for 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before being taken to the examination room, where I waited another 12 minutes before the doctor came in. Dr. Demers was done in 7 minutes. No complaint on my part as he very efficiently explained my recent testing and my options from there. The wall hanging in the exam room states that the office values the patients time, I must disagree. If they actually valued the patients time, they would not have wasted almost an hour of mine. If the front office turned away patients who show up late and made them reschedule ( likely 2-3 weeks later) the patients who show up on time ready to go would not have their time wasted. Dr. Demers is a very good doctor, the front office not so much!

Refused to see my wife because she was 4 minutes late. After additional discussion they kicked us out. They must not care about patients that have brain issues. Go somewhere else please. This office needs to fall apart.

I recently had surgery from Dr. Demers for lumbar stenosis (narrowing spurs) @ L4 and L5 that was causing worsening numbness in my entire leg and prevented me from enjoying an active lifestyle. Dr. Demers had diagnosed and basically encouraged me to have the surgery (without coming right out and saying I needed the surgery)....I was very fortunate to have found Dr. Demers. I'm now post operative 4 1/2 weeks and the numbness and pain is gradually subsiding. He had indicated that my recovery would continue over a period of time because the nerves had been pinched for about 3 years. The nerve roots had to uncoil and recover from being pinched. He performed a minimally invasive surgery and had told me that even though he enjoyed performing surgeries, he would not do it without him considering the surgery to be necessary. I am looking forward to improving and being able to return to a more active lifestyle. I found him because my wife had an extruded cervical disc....Dr. Demers had… said that her disc may recover with physical therapy which it has over the past 3 months...without surgery! He also respects his office staff and hiscompetent P.A. and listens to his P.A.'s opinion which also says a lot about his character.

Always treated surgery as the LAST option because complications can happen. I would send my whole family to him- highly skilled AND honest!

I went to Dr Demers after suffering from back and leg pain for almost a decade. I was scared to see a surgeon, but he made me feel comfortable. He listened to me, answered all my questions completely, he didn't cut me off. When it came to surgery, he showed me the MRI,and went through several surgical options and explained why he thought my surgery was necessary. Office staff was great- especially his nurse practitioner, Jen Minard. Surgery went very well and I feel so much better. I should have seen Dr. Demers years ago.

It took 6 months for me to see Dr. Demers. He was able to figure out more in 10 minutes than my primary care doc, pain management doc and neurologist could in 6 months. Great bedside manner, I feel great now after surgery!

Listened, asked questions, discussed options, reviewed MRI with me-not just the report. I the end, recommended me NOT to have surgery. Imagine that, a surgeon more concerned about my health than just cutting on me. One of the best and most caring docs I've ever met.

saved my life! doesn't sugarcoat things, tried PT, injections, and medications but they didn't work. he only offered me surgery when all these failed. he showed me the films, talked honestly about risks and benefits. i did great with surgery- i feel 100% better.
