Dr. Christopher Shane Hume, DO

Dr. Hume was incredible. He did a permanent implant of a spinal cord stimulator for me, and it has changed my life! He and everyone on his team were so kind and professional. I highly recommend him.

Dr is great. His main nurse is no longer with him and it shows. The other nurse doesn’t care like Amanda did. No compassion no reassurance that everything will be ok. I am sad now. It’s nice to have a nurse that cares as much as your Dr.

I woke up from neck surgery cured!! Best surgeon every, he gave me my life back. He is very thorough and went over every detail. His office staff is amazing. I highly recommend for all your surgical neck and back issues.

I had a bad feeling after my first appointment was scheduled for 10:00 am and they told me to be there half an hour early. so being a good compliant patient I arrived at 9:30. dr. hume did not arrive until a few minutes after 12:00 noon. a 2 and a half hour wait. then he proceeded to tell me he saw nothing wrong with me and there was nothing he could do about my back pain. and when I asked him what was causing my back pain he replied my shoulder injury., huh? he made me feel about as wanted as a case of shingles. ouch

It has been two years since Dr. Hume did my back surgery. I personally would recommend him!! He did an excellent job on my surgery and at every appointment he listened and cared! I think he is awesome and one heck of a Dr.

Dr. Hume replaced my c5-c6 with an artificial disc. Immediately after surgery I was worried because the pain was not completely gone, but he assured me it would take time for the nerves to regrow. So, I did physical therapy, etc. Pain never fully went away, and a year and a half later it is all (pain, stiffness, weakness) starting to come back. This is a sign of a failed surgery, so I followed their advice and called since something had changed. No answer, just voice mail. Left a message. Next day was nearly done and no call back, so I called again. Same thing, left a message. Been a week now, and they've never answered the phone, and never called me back. I'm out a ton of money, and probably going to have to find another doctor to fix this.

Had been experiencing neck, back and hip issues. Had to wait not less than two hours per visit. On my last visit as I was still in pain, he looked at my xrays, MRIs,etc, he stood up and said "I don't know what's wrong." I asked him what he meant by he did know. He stated once again he didn't know what was wrong and walked out of the exam room. He provided no suggestions, no further exams, etc. So, I've got to try out what's wrong on my own. Combined with the waiting to see him and his lack of professionalism, I would never recommend him.

I would like to thank Dr. Hume and his staff for being so caring. I haven't felt that comfortable with a doctor for a very long time. Dr. Hume looks you in the eyes and listens. He is very caring and personable. Thank you for all of your help. God bless.

He is a nice Doctor and has good bedside behavior. I think he did an excellent job on my neck in 2012. And at other times when I've seen him he was very patient with me.
