He acts like he knows my pain level better than I do and that it is not as horrendous as it is at times. I understand the need to stay active but he has NO idea of how immobilizing pain can be at times...I cannot afford PT as I can no longer work and our insurance doesn't cover it but he doesn't get that. Denied that medicine I was on caused the seizures it caused, says they were "tremors"....Have tried like 5 meds and the most successful one that worked the best gave me the seizures. :-( Suggests meds that have not just one or two but upwards to 6 interactions with other meds and conditions that I have. Offered to get trial course of med from rep and to contact me when they got it....I waited 3 months and NO one ever called about it!!! I sat in exam room crying in pain while he told me I didn't need stronger pain meds, that he wouldn't prescribe them and then punted on that telling me that he would refer me to a paint mgmt center, basically telling me that pain clinic would review my… records, contact him and then decide on whether they could help me.....SURPRISE: PAIN MGMT CLINIC SAYS THEY CANNOT HELP ME WITH MY PAIN!!!!!!! Imagine that!?!?! I understand the importance of managing opiates to prevent dependence but my history of meds shows I do not abuse meds. I actually wish he could have a taste of the pain that his patients experience. Staff is distant and removed. Demeanor reveals opinion of patient.

Dr. Ronkar is one of the friendliest doctors I have ever had the pleasure of going to. He always listens to my concerns and answers my questions thoroughly. If I don't understand something, he will take the time to explain the issue to me as well. He has even given me samples of medicines to try before writing an expensive prescription to make sure it is something that will work for me.
