Dr. Christopher Keith Schreiber, MD

An excellent choice.

Just saw him today. Great bed side manor. Very informative and easy to talk to. Highly recommended.

I saw Dr. Schreiber after my original doctor had left the practice. Dr. Schreiber was not concerned with my prostate cancer and only wanted to know why I had not had his partner do the surgery. He was arrogant and uncooperative. He advised me to do my follow up with the surgeron that had done the surgery. I live in Montana and the surgeon is in Seattle Wa. Dr. Schreiber's partner had be very helpful to me in finding the surgeon in Seattle and wanted to do the follow up with me. I left the office after my visit with Dr. Schreiber in disbelief that someone in the medical field could act the way he did and still have patients.

I can't speak on Dr. Schreiber's diagnosis, time spent with me, or any follow up. The reason for this is that I never got to visit with Dr. Schreiber. I made an appointment to see him on my only day off in a 10 day span. I traveled half an hour each way to his office. After checking in with the courteous and competent receptionist, I was taken to the exam room where I began my hour and a half wait. Through the thin walls of the office, I could hear all the correspondence between nurse and doctor. After the first half hour of my wait, I heard the doctor come in and ask his nurse which patient was first. She directed him to the exam room next to mine which housed a patient whose appointment time was scheduled 15 min. after mine. So I guess it doesn't really matter what time you schedule an appointment, because you'll be seen based on a lottery selection anyway. I digress. I continued to wait to see the doctor for the next 1.25 hours. This whole while, I could over hear the… doctor and his patient laugh and joke and talk about fishing and car repair and family life. I'm giving him 4 stars for bedside manner because he's a great conversationalist with the guy whose appointment was scheduled 15 minutes after yours. I left the exam room almost 2 hours after my original appointment time. I was asked if I'd like to reschedule, I said "No thanks" as I would recommend you do also.

No guy wants to get cut... but sometimes we reach a point in our life were it makes sense. Dr. Schreiber's name came with recommendations but I was still a hard sell. His through knowledgeable presentation of the all the issues and procedures was comforting. He and his staff were able to prepare me so that on the day of, and more importantly the days after, the procedure I felt exactly like how I had come to expect. No surprises... No rushing... very pleased. Visited both locations.
