I have had ear issues since birth. Most recently as an adult, I have tons of ear wax everyday. I have to clean them everyday with some ear cleaners that I purchased of Amazon. The ones my pcp has used before. I also get 2-4 ear infections in each ear every single year. Last year both of my ears swelled shut and I had to have wicks in for 2 weeks that did not fall out, they had to be removed. So, I had a horrible sinus infection and 2 round of amoxicillian and it was just now getting out of my system about a month prior. But I still could not hear out of my right ear, and I could tell my left ear was about to head down the same route. I called got an appt the next morning and seen Dr. Standage. Thank goodness. He took a look in my ears. Left ear full of wax, right ear does not have wax, but a fungus, possibly a mixture, more than he has ever seen before. He would vacuum my ears do an antibotic drop than a maintance drop. After that I was moved to another room to have ears vacuumed. The… left ear, took a minute or 2. The right ear, he put the vacuum in and clunk... clogged the machine. I huge ball of this fungus came out of my ear. He said look at it. I was like cool. I like gross stuff like that. He was done with my right ear a few minutes later. He "painted" my ears with some purple meds and warned me it may leak on my pillow so sleep with a towel. Then decided to just do the maintence drops. I must say the purple stuff is amazing. I have not had itchy ears, or a ton of was built up so far and its been about a week. Finally, and ent that knows his business. In the past other ENT say I am fine. No ear issues. Regardless of the constant ear infections. Now, I must say that I was annoyed that I had to wait 20 min to be called back and other 15 to get in the vacuum room, but they only have one vacuum at the Woodstock location, so I would try to get early appt.

He put tubes in my daughters ears when she was 14 months old. That was 7 years ago! He now sees my husband and my daughter and we travel an hour to see him when needed. I would definately recommend him!

Dr. Standage is professional and spends time to correctly identify the problem. I had sudden hearing loss last month and he had me come in immediately for a hearing test, which I failed. He started me on Prednisone and within 1 day I had my hearing back. I bring all of my children in to see him when they have ear infections or sinus issues and he always manages to prescribe medications that bring immediate relief. He is also an excellent surgeon with great bedside manner. My son has had two surgeries with him, and he put all of our fears at ease and made the experience ALOT less stressful for all of us. I recommend him to everyone I know!
