Terrible surgeon and unethical man. Surgery led to complications (internal bleeding). Dr never came to see the patient nor called! Patient ended up intubated on a ventilator. Dr still did not visit or help. Wolfgang should be reported to ethics committee. No one should use him

While Dr. Wolfgang's experience may place him as a top provider; his team's awareness of the disease they are actually treating is close to null. His team failed to understand the urgency of time when it comes to cancer and used poor excuses to postpone appointments. The doctor was always "busy" or "on holiday/conferences". Cancer doesn't wait! This resulted in the change of the patient's prognosis from stage 2 (resectable) to a stage 4 (metastasis) for mere negligence. When I tried to provide feedback re: his team's actions, at first, Dr. Wolfgang appeared very interested to hear about the details of the circumstances that led to my mother's treatment being ignored during a crucial time. But after 3 attempts at providing such details, Dr. Wolfgang continuously, and very purposely, evaded the subject and never followed-up. In conclusion, because of his team's (especially his PA) unprofessionalism and disregard, my mother's surgery was canceled and her life expectancy shortened from… years to months.

He is a great surgeon and certainly one the best ever in his profession. Also a polymath and a wonderful person with an amazing capacity to work with his patients.

Dr. Wolfgang is an amazing surgeon. My wife and I are so thankful that he was able to perform surgery after we were told her tumor was inoperable. His confidence and experience are incredible. Highly recommend Dr. Wolfgang. He saved my wife's life. Forever grateful!

I am 5 months out from a Whipple procedure done by this gentleman. His knowledge, professionalism, and bedside manor are second to none. It's a long recovery but he has been there every step of the way.

Another cancer institute highly suspected gallbladder cancer. I contacted Johns Hopkins since I had been a cancer patient there before a year prior at 45 years old. The head of the Hopkins Spine Institute (I had, had spinal cancer) recommended Dr. Wolfgang. From our first meeting, Dr. Wolfgang instilled hope, caring and understanding. No question I asked was too unworthy no matter how many times I would ask. His attitude was, "We'll beat this thing." He preformed a full liver hepatectomy and did a fantastic job. I was supposed to be in the hospital for 10+ days, however, I went home in four. The good news is I was the mass was benign. You won't go wrong with the talent, skill and kindness of Dr. Wolfgang. World class.

I was a patient of Dr. Wolfgang's in late '08. It was initially thought via another medical institution that at 43 yrs old, I had a tumor of the gallbladder. After much research, and the fact that I had been a patient at Johns Hopkins in the past, I chose Dr. Wolfgang. He was extremely involved from the initial testing to the final surgery which was a full hepatectomy. His bedside manner is superb as he's very caring and understanding. His hands as a surgeon are world class. My total stay in the hospital was four days. My growth was benign thank the Lord.
