Dr. Claramarie Cottrell Collins, MD

I’ve seen Dr Collins for a while now and will say that she’s the best therapist I’ve ever encountered. Smart, insightful, kind, and articulate. I always leave our sessions feeling improved. She is organized and provides superbills every month.

My wife and I saw her for marriage counseling. Scheduling was difficult. She took about a week to return our calls. When I asked her why it took so long, she replied, "That's just how I am". Even when I left a message that my wife and I were having an emergency, it took 2 days for a return call. I asked her once what she was thinking when she went silent and she replied, "I'm COGITATING". She actually said to me that she thought I would eventually assault my wife. It's been years and my marriage is better than ever and no, I never even came close to striking my wife. How wrong she was, how little we got from seeing her. What was the best of Dr. Collins? She told us about Gottman and we did lots of Gottman. The good thing we got from the time and money was finding out about Gottman. My advice is to do Gottman and avoid her.
