Dr. Clarence Craig Farmer, PhD

Out of the 10+ psychologists that I’ve had through the VA and civilian over the years. Mr. Farmer was hands down the worst; rubbed me the wrong way from the start. Asked me to wait outside so he could finish a phone call. I provided him with medical records from physical injuries, mental evaluation notes and diagnosis; he stated he didn’t have time to look through them. I asked him if we could crack the window so I could get fresh air for medical reasons; Mr. Farmer stated “no, this isnt my office, but we can terminate this interview, if you’d like, if you’re not comfortable”…in a rude manner. He asked what my service connection was, when I had handed the information to him at the beginning. So, when I reached down to grab the paperwork, Mr. Farmer stated “I don’t need to know the exact amount”. Mr. farmer is very rude, cynical, and stuck up. During the evaluation, I stated something about an officer and by his reaction, I literally stopped and asked…you must’ve been an officer, Mr.… Farmer stated “yep, sure was” . After the evaluation was over, I asked him his opinion/thoughts were, Mr. Farmer stated; well, I think you have PTSD and I think this interview is over” put down his notebook, got up and walked out of the room. While he walked out of the room. I took a pic of the notes in the notebook…..not at all what I stated during the “evaluation” Misconstrued my words. While walking to the front door, Mr. Farmer stated, it’s a good thing you hired an attorney, then stated you can have him request a copy, I stated “it’s a she”. Mumbled something under his breath and when I asked for his phone number to write down, he said that I can retrieve it from the state (ssi/ssdi). I Hope to god he doesn’t treat anymore combat vets, or vets for any disorders, claims or benefits. I’d HIGHLY recommend asking the state, VA, or whomever to make your appt with someone else.
