a minute ago NEW Got terminated from her and lifestance services when I had trouble with accessing vsee app for our 6 month f/u appt. I had seen her for 7-8 yrs and thought our therapeutic relationship was good. I was never rude during the phone call. She was belittling and impatient with me. I filed a compliant with the medical state board.

My wife was under her care for 3 years; my wife continued to mentally deteriorate in and out of mental hospital and doctor would never re-evaluate her to see if she had other issues that were causing her to have ugly thoughts of ending her life. Only until we change doctors; is when my wife was evaluated correctly and placed on the right medication. Today, my wife is so much happier! Also, you could never get a hold of this doctor when there was a mental crisis and would not return calls! Ugly to know that she is responsible for keeping people mentally alive!

I have been with Ms. McRae for over a year. She is a very knowledgeable she she has friendly and welcoming demeanor. She takes the time to get to know you as a patient and let’s you have input on your care. She is very invested in her patients. I am the first to admit I don’t care for doctors..I’d rather not go. She she shows care and understanding without being pushy, condescending or judgmental. I appreciate the time and care that she puts into me as a patient.

I've been seeing Dr. Chaisson-Mcrae for almost 1 year. She exemplifies her role as my Psychiatrist. We've partnered together to create a plan that has for the first time in my life stabilized my conditions. She diagnosed me with my conditions, where other doctors in 45yrs have failed. I truly feel at peace with her guidance as we continue to confront my PTSD, and Bi-Polar issues.

I’d been a patient of Dr. Chaisons for over 5 years. I’d recently been manic and extremely symptomatic. I was crying over the smallest things. I went in for a refill and to get on ADHD medication for school. Somehow, even though I gave her all my paperwork and diagnosis’ years ago, a fight ensued over me asking for medication. Being symptomatic, I took her questions in the wrong manner and reacted inappropriately. I left there crying with her yelling at me in front of other patients that she was firing me and would no longer see me. I tried contacting to apologize for my actions, and even emailed my test results to prove I have said diagnosis, but the office staff filtered my messages and I had to message multiple times to receive a reply (none directly from her). You’d think working with people struggling with mental illness, she’d be more understand and perceptive of someone who is symptomatic and in need of assistance. Instead, she discharged me as a patient with 3 months worth of… meds (not enough to last me until I can get in with a new psychiatrist), and when I asked the office what am I supposed to do when I run out, they quit responding. I’m not sure why a doctor would throw away a 5 year long patient for being symptomatic, being the whole reason I was her patient in the first place. It’s incredibly counter-intuitive and leaves a patient out in the cold, scared they will run out of meds and not be able to function. Obviously stable mental health is not what she cares about. She’s a factory pumping patients in and out all day. Obviously does not care for or understand her individual patients. Hope she re-evaluates her approach with patients or else I feel others will experience the embarrassment and sudden abandonment of the person in control of their medication, leaving them vulnerable to becoming even more symptomatic.

Dr. Chaison is an amazing psychiatrist. She takes time to answer your questions, calm your worries about meds, and she genuinely cares about her patients. Very thankful to have found a wonderful woman psychiatrist.

Recently my wife who was experiencing a crisis and hospitalized, I would call Dr. Chaison-Mcrae office and ask for some direction on questions I had regarding treatment. I always got an answer the same day from her staff. On appointments, she would always answer my questions regarding my wife's issues. I appreciate her very much.

ZERO STARS This is the worst office I’ve ever had to deal with. I was never late to an appointment and followed ALL of their ridiculous rules and policies and yet they could never have my prescriptions sent in correctly and in a timely matter. When I expressed my concerns to Dr. Clarissa Chaisson-McRae her lack of sympathy and urgency was repulsive. Because she would not return my calls and was always “gone” for the day everyday at 2:00pm it took me over 2 weeks to get my prescriptions. If you suffer from anxiety and depression you know that this could be a life threatening situation when medications are abruptly stopped. Dr. Clarissa Chaisson-McRae is a young so called doctor who doesn’t know much about treating patients with depression. She’s only in it for the money. She bled my insurance dry then dismissed me with a 30 day prescription saying that she can no longer offer me care. Once again if she was a real professional doctor she would know that it takes much longer than 30 days… to find a doctor who’s taking new patients. She’s a huge joke and I wouldn’t recommend anyone trust her to care for any type of psychiatric needs. I plan to write a complaint to the BBB and also to the Medical Board of Directors. I have plenty of written documentation of her failure to get back with me in a timely manner and other complaints as well. Don’t trust her or anyone there at Alamo Group.

Face to face visit was pleasant, however when there are clerical issues/errors, she remains "unavailable" and discompassionate and seems to be more focused on increasing your visit-count at every opportunity. I should have read her reviews before accepting an appointment which was assigned by first-available by the front desk...I guess there is a reason why she was the first available. Another thing to point out is that her rate is much higher than other more desirable doctors in the same area of town.
