Dr. Clement Michael Barone, MD

I HAVE BEEN A PT. OF DR. BARONE FOR OVER 33 YEARS. NEVER DID I EVER ENTAIL ANY OF THE TERRIBLE THINGS THAT PEOPLE STATE HAPPENED TO THEM. THE OFFICE IS RUN THOROUGHLY. THE DOCTORS, DR. BARONE AND GOLDBERG ARE SO THOROUGH NOTHING GETS PASSED THEM. WHEN THEY SAY YOUR FINE YOU CAN REST ASSURED YOU HAVE NO GYNECOLOGICAL OR BREAST PROBLEMS. ANY GYN I HAVE WENT TO ALWAYS RECOMMENDS THEM AS THE BEST. TO ME THEY ARE TOPS. I RARELY WAIT MORE THAN 20 MINUTES. AND IF I HAD TO WAIT 2 HOURS FOR ME IT IS WORTH THE CLEAR HEAD TO WALK OUT OF THERE KNOWING I DO NOT HAVE ANY CANCER. AS FAR AS THE STAFF, THEY ARE WARM,KIND , COMPASSIONATE AND THE DOCTORS ARE DOUBLE THAT. IF THEY EVER CLOSED OR RETIRED I DO NOT KNOW IF ANYONE COULD EVER SURPASS THEM.

I’ve been loyal to Dr. Barone’s practice and radiology services for over 24 years. I could believe the treatment I received recently. I walked in 5 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. Asked why I had to fill out the same form (archaic method). Receptionist’s explanation was lost in her condescending and demeaning tone. Inquired if they were running on time as I had to catch a train to pick my kids -her response was affirmative. 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment I asked what was happening and why they were not honoring my appointment or attempting in the slightest to accommodate my request. No apology or sign of sympathy was forthcoming. They’re quick to demand payment though. To make matters worse, Dr. Barone whom I’ve been loyal to all those years, was arrogant and lacked both the compassion or understanding for what was happening. Took no responsibility for the undue stress they caused me but rather chastised me for my indignation and suggested I go… elsewhere, which in-fact I intend to do. Talk about disconnected! They are walking robots in that office. The only exceptions to today’s offense, were the technicians who showed me kindness and expedited the exams. They recently revamped their waiting area but failed to re-vamp their attitudes towards patients. Remedy: know your patients! Reciprocate loyalty! Show compassion and understanding. Exhibit humanitarian qualities.

Very thorough, and the staff know how to give mammograms without inflicting unnecessary pain.

I have used this radiologist for ten years. I find the office staff as well as the doctors compassionate and professional. These use the latest technology and are always thorough. If you want warm and fuzzy buy a puppy. I go there for good care. Better hope they don't suffer the ravages of Obamacare!!!!

Dr. Barone office personnel are efficient and direct, but like their leader there is no personality or warmth at this office. The bedside manner, which for a Radiologist is key, is not only lacking but verges on offensive. One of the technicians had to warn me about Dr. Barone's associates during my fiberoid examination. He not only scared me, but he offered nothing that my OB/GYN hadn't already explained to me. To make matters worse, he belittled the technician -- who was actually nice and informative.

I WENT HERE FOR QUITE SOME TIME. ONE DAY I HAD AN EMERGENCY MAMMOGRAM THAT HAD TO BE DONE ASAP AND THEY ASKED ME TO COME IN -- THEY SAID THEY WOULD SQUEEZE ME IN. WHEN I GOT THERE AND WAS EVENTUALLY TAKEN, DOCTOR BARONE'S WIFE LATER ACCUSED ME OF TAKING UP TOO MUCH OF HER HUSBAND'S TIME, PUTTING UNNECESSARY PRESSURE ON HIM. THEY THREW ME OUT!! TOLD ME NEVER TO COME BACK. REALLY -- THE OWNERS OF THIS PRACTICE ARE NOT NORMAL. GO ELSEWHERE. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES. THIS PRIVATE FACILITY IS NOT WORTH ALL THE HASSLE. GO TO NYU OR CORNELL-WEIL. I AM VERY HAPPY AT THESE LARGE HOSPITAL FACILITIES.

I went to get an HSG from this Doctor as my doctor was OOTO. If I had waited I would have been delayed a full month. I am 44 years old. I've had cervical exams since hitting puberty. I have been through IVF, so I have had many, many speculums applied for cervical exams. Dr Barone was the most painful insertion I've ever had in my life. The pain was so intense I trembled and began to weep. He pushed me through saying it would be over soon. It was TERRIBLE. Then when sharing the results, he blamed me saying that some patients are more sensitive to speculums than others. UNACCEPTABLE! Are you kidding me. I've never, ever had anything that traumatizing, than painful than his work. It was awful. I wouldn't wish my worse enemy be examined by this doctor. I hope, given his age, that he's at the end of his career.

I have been going to Dr. Clement Barone for many years now for four different tests, my Mammo, Ultrasound of the Breasts, bone density testing and pelvic ultrasound that should be done several times yearly. I forget to make appts sometimes and they do send reminders. I have been VERY pleased with Dr. Barone and the majority of his staff. Their ultrasound machines have always been STATE OF THE ART. For example, when 2D was common everywhere else, they had a 3D. This is why my ob/gyn sent me there. He uses the same group for his FAMILY as well. If he calls the same day as my gyn appt and wants a test(s) done that day, they fit me in!! If he says I can wait, I get an appt for a few days or up to a week after. No long delays for appts! I see the tech first, then I see either Dr. Barone or one of his colleages after most of my tests. A breast exam is done before and after my mammo and ultrasouns of the breast. The doctor also comes in halfway through my pelvic ultrasound and is… either hands on or has the tech moving the transducer to where he wants to giving verbal commands to her. He asks me questions, if I have pain during the ultrasound or during any other times. I find NOTHING wrong with any doctor's beside manner. I don't expect them to bow down to me though. I'm there for testing and I don't carry on like a baby. If I am in pain, I tell them but the techs and doctors all try to be gentle but want to see what they're looking at too. No vaginal/pelvic ultrasound is "comfortable" and I've had MANY, during my changes now with multiple fibroids and prior with PCOS/multiple ovarian cysts. The Dr. explained to me that the fibroids won't go down in size or disappear until I complete menopause without me asking. So I can say I am pleased with the majority of the four tests I have while there. I am not kept there longer than needed. They try to get things done but are making sure it's all done thoroughly. I would rather it was done thorough and they see everything than have them rush through and miss something. So Poster #1 is a big baby in my opinion. I don't know what she expected from the Dr and she should be aware usually the tech begins the vaginal ultrasound. So if it began with the Dr., she got extra attention, not less. Some people, sigh. I give Dr. Clement Barone 5 stars for an excellent Women's radiologist. I have my share of problems but we all need to have different testing at times of our lives. I hope she finds a radiologist as good as Dr. Barone who follows up with a letter to the patient's ob/gyn and a phone call if necessary immediately. Best of health to all!

First thing he asked as I was waiting for the exam, half naked, legs spread, and scared to death was if I was happy to be there. It got worse, he then rehashed an unnecessary patient history staring at my vagina with my legs in the stirrups. Then if I was not scared enough he told me that they always find something, and that it was probaly worse than I thought. Stay away--a real jerk with no people skills.
