Dr. Clinton James Devin, MD

Dr. Devin was very thorough when explaining my back issues. He also discussed all the treatment options and answered all my questions. He is pleasant and was not rushed.

Clint really takes the time to discuss the pros and cons so that you full understand what the procedure entails. Extremely knowledgeable about risks and side effects you may be worried about.

He botched my sister's operation and won't fix it! She has a rod moving from side to side in her spine! She might end up with permanent nerve damage because between him not fixing it and the insurance company stringing her along, a few months have passed. Her foot drags on the ground!!! He should fix it now! What a jerk! She's worse off now than before her operation. Stay away from this butcher that doesn't take responsibility for his mistakes!

As worried as I was, I was also comforted to know that I was in the right hands. I was treated so well at Aspen Hospital! And Dr. Devin was an awesome surgeon.

I am age 65 and 4-1/2 years post-op from a lumbar laminectomy (L2-S1). I have made a full recovery with no limitations!... I can stand for hours and walk all day. My recovery was due not only to Dr. Devin's surgical skill, but, in large part, to his direct advice on the importance of pursuing a continuing rehabilitation program after the surgery, and his assistance in directing me to that program. I highly recommend Dr. Devin, especially to those patients who are committed to actively engage their own recovery and rehabilitation.

Very complicated surgery in 2013 was successful in relieving my pain. Dr. Devin was very professional, compassionate, and able to communicate on patient level.

I saw dr Devin a year and a half ago for a broken lower back. I went. Though the ER and was told I needed surgery to repair my broken back. I ended up with this dr. I don't remember seeing him before surgery or after while I was in the hospital. I saw him a couple weeks later. He said i would be fine. Almost a year later I went to get a second opinion and had a CT scan that showed I had 2 screws in the disks and not in the bone. I was told to go back to him and have them removed. I had been in a lot of pain. He did surgery to remove the hardware, now 5 months later im in worse pain and can not hardly walk. My last visit was 2 weeks ago and he came in the room, i told him that I was still in lots of pain and when I cough my left leg has pain shooting all the way to the foot. He sat there writing and then told me I didn't need to see him anymore and I was as good as I was gonna get. I'm going to see another doctor and im hopeing the new dr can fix the damage that Dr devin has done.

Dr. Devin is so patient and kind. He takes the time to listen and fully explain. His nurse is fantastic. She is always prompt, knowledgeable, and very kind. They are both assets to Vanderbilt.

I was lucky to get him as a doctor. I was terrified and he was amazing and amazingly patient with me. I was grateful.
