Dr. Colette Avi Stern, MD

Dr. Stern diagnosed diastasis of my abdomen (a 4.5" separation of the abdominal muscles), which was the result of an umbilical hysterectomy. She was able to suture my muscles back together, providing much needed core support and significantly alleviating lower back pain. I am forever grateful for her skill as a surgeon, as well as her caring attitude! She puts her patients needs first, ensuring that we are able to contact someone in the practice at any time and get a response within an hour or so (weekdays). Her nurses and office staff are all knowledgeable and helpful! Dr. Smith, the anesthesiologist, really listened to my concerns about nausea/vomitting post surgery and did everything possible to keep this from happening.....and it worked! This was, without a doubt, my best surgery experience ever! I am thrilled with the results and offer accolades to Dr. Stern and her wonderful staff! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

I am a Middle Eastern woman and, in all my years of living in the United States of America, I have never felt so belittled and disrespected by a doctor and her staff. I drove 65 miles to see this doctor, because of the good reviews I read; however, I was ostracized because I questioned their mask policy, even though I complied with their request to wear a mask. As soon as I expressed my view about masks not being effective to prevent transmission of COVID, they devised a plan to get rid of me. The doctor claimed my blood pressure was 194 over 87 and that she could not do anything for me. I almost burst out laughing when I heard 194 over 87, as I was feeling fine and, as mentioned, I drove 65 miles to get there. I had absolutely no signs of high blood pressure, I have never had issues with high blood pressure, so for them to claim my blood pressure was over 190 was an absolute fabrication. When I walked into the room with the nurse, she told me to pull my mask up, even though my mask… was already over my nose. I then asked her about their mask policy and the fact that masks do not prevent transmission of COVID. She did not respond to my question at all. She took my blood pressure and walked out. A little while later the doctor came in and claimed my blood pressure was 194. I know everyone’s time is valuable, so I am not going to write about every detail of my horrible experience with this doctor. What happened to me should not happen to anyone. I came to the United States for all the freedom it offers; unfortunately, nowadays we are losing our freedom of speech and freedom of expression. I was blacklisted simply because I questioned the effectiveness of wearing a mask to prevent COVID. It is a shame that, of all people, a doctor is so simple and narrow minded that she cannot handle anyone with a different opinion than hers.

I highly recommend Dr. Stern and her compassionate and professional staff for performing my procedure ! I felt welcomed from the start of my consultation, all the way to the end of my procedure! I am so thrilled that I chose this particular doctor and her awesome practice! My experience has been incredibly rewarding, and the recovery was very comfortable. The entire staff is kind, considerate, understanding and listened to all my concerns with patience. With the type of procedure I wanted to have done, I felt like I would be most comfortable having a female surgeon. I met her, and I instantly knew, she was the one for me! No regrets, besides not going through with my choice earlier! Dr. Stern, Lucinda, and all staff at this practice made me feel comfortable, welcome and very much at ease. I've thought about surgery for many years and after meeting Dr. Stern and her staff, I finally felt that it was time for me to go through with it. My surgery was 3 months ago, and I'm extremely pleased with my results. Dr. Stern is very easy to talk to, understanding, helpful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

Dr. Colette Stern is truly remarkable. She has done two procedures for me over the past year and my results for both are nothing short of miraculous! I am so very pleased with the results. They're better than anticipated. I have complete faith in her abilities. When she talks with me, she makes me feel like what I have to say is extremely important to her. She answers questions without ever rushing through an appointment. There is no doubt that she is ethical. Her integrity is above reproach. Even though, in the past, I worked with three plastic surgeons I considered the best available, given the choice today which of the four surgeons I personally would want, without a single moment's hesitation, I would choose Dr. Stern.

Dr.Stern and her all-female surgical team are fantastic. They’re caring, professional, and give patients their undivided attention. Dr.Stern always went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and that all of my questions were answered before my breast reduction/lift. After the surgery, I had an easy recovery and was ecstatic over the results. I felt like my breasts were finally proportional to my body. They were no longer massive or droopy, instead they looked how I had always envisioned they would. I’m incredibly grateful to Dr.Stern and her staff and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking into a breast reduction and/or other cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Stern and her staff were amazing. Her assistant Lucinda is amazing, and extremely helpful! I always forgot to ask certain questions and I would email her and have a response in an hour or less. Dr. Stern was amazing! She explained everything, was patient with my questions and was thorough throughout the entire process- pre op, surgery and post op. My results are unbelievable! I could not be happier!
