Dr. Colleen Teri Plein, MD

I initially had an appointment with Dr. Plein at Sinus and Snoring MD due to pressure / fluid in my ear. During the appointment, tests were conducted and the pressure was confirmed. The doctor stated I could try Flonase daily for a couple of months, and if it didn’t work, she could put a tube in my ear. At the second appointment, I explained the pressure is still there, but I acknowledged I had not consistently used the medicine since the first visit. At that point the doctor offered to place the tube in my ear during the appointment, or I can use Flonase daily to see if it helps. I opted to go with the original plan using Flonase daily. The doctor stated if it doesn’t work, she can place the tube in my ear. Since daily Flonase didn’t work, I called and scheduled the appointment to have the tube placed in my ear. Note: I made it clear during the call to make this third appointment that it was for the procedure to be completed as the need for the procedure had already been… discussed and established. I arrive to the appointment only to have the nurse practitioner tell me that today’s appointment was only to discuss the procedure and I would have to schedule the procedure for another date. I told her that the procedure was already discussed with the doctor and I made it clear when I made the appointment that I was coming to have the procedure completed. I also explained that the doctor offered to conduct the procedure during my previous appointment. Of course the nurse practitioner couldn’t care less and was completely indifferent! Icing on the cake, it was nearly 30 minutes after my appointment when the nurse practitioner told me the doctor wasn’t even there yet! ENT’s are a dime a dozen. My advice, avoid this one!

The morning of the surgery I experienced some anxiety and Dr. Plein encouraged me through it. She once again explained the procedure and recovery process and any issues that may arise. She helped me remain focused on the outcome of the surgery and how much better my breathing would be once this procedure was completed. She was right. After the recovery, my breathing improved significantly. I am now able to sleep better through the night without waking myself up multiple times. I feel more rested because I am able to breathe better. (Bonus) My wife has also noticed that my breathing has improved and that my snoring is now minimal which means she sleeps better. I am very thankful to Dr Plein and her skills for improving my physical health by fixing my deviated septum which is allowing me to breath better.

I was having a problem with my vocal cords where my voice was being affected. Dr Plein was able to perform an injection procedure which helped my voice and swallowing. I am feeling much better and she was so nice and helpful along the way.

I have had issues with my nasal breathing my entire life. Dr Plein diagnosed me with a deviated septum and did an operation to help my breathing. I can't believe how much air I am getting when I breathe now! Dr Plein was super nice during the whole pre and post op process and explained everything very well. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone. Thanks!

I would definitely recommend D Plein. I was able to get in quickly, she was very friendly and helped me with my symptoms.

Went to see Dr Plein for an issue with my ears. I was able to get in really quickly, everyone in the office was very nice and Dr Plein was very gentle and caring. She fixed my ear problem and now I am hearing much better than before!
