Dr. Constantia Akwugo Abarikwu, MD

Dr. Connie Abarikwu is the second best doctor I have ever met (besides my father who is a cardiologist). If you have the highest standards in life in regards to your health, she will be worth your wait as her brilliance and attentive care is always in high demand. You will love her work ethic as well. Perfect care every time.

I went in for an annual checkup and didn't authorize any other services. Connie billed me for additional services which were never discussed or approved (and nothing beyond ordinary annual checkup activities were performed). Also, my wait was excessive and my visit produced no useful information.

Excellent bed side manners and covered eberything. The resident assigned Dr. O’Neil was very good also.

I came to her as a new patient because her office is closer my home. I waited an hour past my appointment time and then had the misfortune of meeting with the most unprofessional nurse ever who was also rude. The doctor was very nice and listened even though she sat with her back to me and faced a computer the entire time. She had little to offer in terms of diagnosis or treatment after listening and documenting what was said. She just turned to small talk and the appointment was over! I was very disappointed and scheduled a follow up appointment to get some answers but it was the same scenario - facing the computer, friendliness, then she’s done with you. No answers. No diagnosis. Nothing.

Carmen is the rudest nurse I have ever had the displeasure in meeting. I am paying for a service and I should be treated as a customer. Dr. Abarikwu is a sweet lady but doesn't seem to be able to diagnose. she is always running late. I have waited 2 hours in a room and when she finally arrived Carmen nocked on the door 5 minutes later to hurry her along. Now that she is training rookie doctors you must see them first. I go to a woman doctor for a reason and I don't feel comfortable talking about my personal issues with a man. The doctors in training want to run a lot of expensive tests they never think of the obvious. As much as I like her I am going to move on.

I've been seeing Dr. Abarikwu for over 4 years now and she's great, she listens to all your needs and talks to you very professional but in a way you understand. I will follow anywhere in AZ she's just that great of a Doctor!

She really cares and she spends time with you going over everything since your last visit. A great doctor!

She couldn't figure out what's wrong with me so she pawned me off to another doctor

Carmen her nurse for about the last 10 years still has the worst bedside manner, she is short and rude with you and disregards you. She doesn't talk to you and if she does she has an attitude. She shows her anxiety constantly and really needs to relax. Often interrupts appointment or knocks on door to tell the doctor to hurry up 5 minutes into the appointment. Dr. Abarikwu is a doctor that builds a relationship with you and she cares and she talks to you and often runs behind schedule... but worth it.

Never felt rushed. Very caring and compassionate.
