He is only in office 2 half days a week, Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. It took 3 months to get an appointment. My Appointment is at 1 pm, right from the start receptionist tell me he has a "family" emergency and will be late. I said Well I use the bathroom and perhaps you can find out how late. Get back 10 min. later and she said he is on his way, so I pay and do the insurance thing. They take me, weigh me, blood pressure and temperature. Put in exam room. Nurse leaves and said he is on his way from piedmont main to Pied on Charter here, I said okay. So at 1:15 pm they told me he is on his way from Main piedmont which is about 15 min away. at 2:00 pm 45 min later, I ask again and he stopped of at the emergency room, so they don't know, 2:15, I ask again she said let me check, he is in his office and starting to see patients but there are other people before you. That would put me at about 3:00 pm, Well, I had enough, I think it is very disrespectful to just have people sitting in… queue. He would not like it either if it happens to him, waiting over 3 months for an appointment, then it takes me 1 hr to get there, and then sit around for another 1.5 hr . You would have been better off to just catch the people still at home call them and give an option to come later or reschedule. We are people made out of flesh and blood and deserve respect.

Dr. Smith is what every patient wishes for. He is brilliant and kind. Other docs go to him.

I concur with the previous rating, Dr. Smith and his PA are unable to properly meet their patient demand and when criticism over long wait times for office visits or prescription refills are voiced to the staff they can become very combative. On my first visit, Dr. Smith conducted a lengthy interview, however since that time I have only seen a PA and still waited upwards of an hour.

The office staff can be rude. I was not informed that I would only be seeing the doctors assistant after my first visit other than perhaps a thirty second stick his head in the examining room each visit. The amount of time for refilling prescriptions is utterly ridiculous. It takes up to two weeks. He is so behind in paperwork that I have considered going to another doctor for that reason alone. When phoning the office to find out why a prescription has not been taken care of, the office staff treats me like poison. Think twice about seeing this doctor for your health needs.
