Cynthia Davis

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) with over 12 years of experience counseling individuals, couples, and groups. I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Since 2010, my studies and career have focused on identifying underlying problems contributing to substance use and problematic behaviors. The primary emphasis of my master’s level studies was trauma and substance use disorders. I have 30 years of experience in the health care industry, including executive-level positions, 12 of which are in the behavioral health field. I have experience working with individuals in all levels of care and settings: detox, intensive inpatient, residential, partial day treatment, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient.

I live in Colorado, and conduct sessions via telehealth. My specialties are trauma treatment using EMDR and therapy for anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. I have seven years of experience …treating trauma and anxiety using EMDR. I find it a highly effective treatment that helps individuals make sense of what happened to them, heal from it, and live a more abundant life.
