Saw Dr. Harding 2x {year 2005, approx.} reason: gunshot wound to finger {healed well, no remaining loss of function} Dr. Harding and her staff provided a level of care and attention to my injury which a prospective patient would like, but would normally view finding it a fantasy, ... it was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent hand surgeon and person.

I have worked in and around surgery for over 40 years and experienced hundreds of surgeons. Dr Harding is a solid, conscientious, knowledgeable, calm, calming, confident (but not arrogant), and certainly one of the best I've seen or scrubbed with. When I injured my finger another orthopedist (well trained by Duke) offered me pain pills, even though I told him my main goal was to play guitar again professionally. Dr Harding took one look at it and immediately set to work developing a treatment plan that included an open reduction, internal fixation, and bone graft. I was a self-pay (no insurance) and the charges were quite reasonable given the amount of work required in surgery, including the discovery and repair of an avulsed tendon. The only criticism I would offer is no appointment went on time, each was over 30 minutes late -- however, I would say that's because she does not rush any patient or treatment, answers all questions fully and simply.
