This is the most efficient and professional medical office I have ever been to; includes Doctor and staff. Would recommend!

He is everything a Doctor should be. And his staff is amazing and so sweet and caring.We need more Doctors in the world like him. He is very concerned with his patients well being and very good at what he does.

I was a patient of Dr. Montzka's. After he gave me a shot in the eye for wet macular I began to lose sight in that eye. I was very alarmed at that obviously. I called the office so I could be seen and find out what's going on. The office staff told me he wasn't in that week. No one was covering for him either. My regular Opthamologist called the office to get me in but there was no one there to see me. My regular Opthamologist is not a Retinaologist The office staff told me over the phone it wasn't serious. Really? Losing sight in my eye isn't serious.

Dr. Montzka has reassured me in knowing I have ways to improve my vision. I’m a diabetic for 30yrs and it’s taking a toll on my eyes. He took time and answered our questions and discussed a treatment plan and were setting up surgery dates. Thank you dr. Montzka and staff. Kelly Simble

Dr Montzka returned my mother eyesight to her. She had a macular hole surgery by Dr Montzka and regained her vision fully. The surgery was relatively short about 1 hr, but the face-down positioning requirement was not as easy, but possible. I recommend renting the speciality chair as it really helps out. We cannot thank him enough. In addition to being good at his skills in surgery, he is very professional as well. Office staff were very kind and understanding and accommodate the scheduling as much as possible. I will trust him with my eyes. Thank you for all your help Dr. Montzka, there is no word that can explain our gratitude.

My sister has retinitis pigmentosa, so when she told me she was seeing a shadow out of the corner of her eye, I immediately took her to the ER. The ER doctor told us what we had already suspected, her retina had detached. I was worried. RP is a rare and time sensitive eye condition. It was on a Friday and it was very early in the morning, still dark outside. Most of the ophthalmologist were closed on Fridays. The ER doctor left the room to go call my sisters ophthalmologist. He returned not even 10 minutes later and said that her ophthalmologist did not do that kind of surgery, but he did recommend someone who did. His name was Dr. Montzka, and if we could be at his office in 45 minutes, Dr. Montzka would meet us there. The ER doctor was amazed. He said it usually takes them up to 9 hours to even reach someone when it came to ophthalmology. Of course, we said yes. We arrived at his office, and just as promised, Dr. Montzka showed up. He unlocked his office doors, turned on the lights… and proceed to help my sister. He told her he was going to put a bubble in her eye, in hopes that it would push the retina back in place as to prevent surgery. She went back to see him a week later and unfortunately, it did not work. People with RP, their eyes are shaped like footballs, where most peoples eyes are shaped like basketballs. He told her she needed to have surgery. A week later, Dr. Monztka performed retinal detachment surgery on her. It was successful. Dr. Montzka is a very impressive, professional and kind doctor and human being. His staff is just as wonderful. My sister is now considering completely changing her ophthalmologist to Dr. Montzka and so am I. Very highly recommended.
