had an extremely disappointing and, frankly, frightening experience with Dana Edwards during the delivery of my second child when this woman worked at Billings Clinic in 2022. I came into the hospital 5–6 centimeters dilated and was initially admitted under another provider. When the shift changed, Dana evaluated me and sent me home, telling me I was experiencing Braxton Hicks and giving me a one-page handout about them. I returned about an hour later in active labor. Throughout the experience, I felt dismissed and repeatedly made to question what I was experiencing. At one point, she did not believe I was having contractions despite me moving around, breathing through intense contractions and clearly struggling. Dana came to my room only a couple of times. Eventually, I told a nurse that I was ready to push. I was crying out through intense, unmedicated contractions with only my husband and a nurse in the room. I had not received an epidural because by that point there wasn’t… enough time to order one. Dana was not in the room when my daughter was born. A nurse ended up delivering her, and I was told to try to hold my baby in because there was no provider in the room to deliver her. What makes this even more upsetting is that this was my second child. I knew what labor felt like, and I knew something was very wrong with how my care was being handled. I felt ignored, dismissed and completely unsupported during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. Afterward, I voiced my concerns directly to Dana and later called to make a formal complaint about my experience. I was told she would not be staying, which I initially assumed meant she was leaving this work all together and was relieved. Now I learn she’s still in Billings “helping” women? I am sharing this because women deserve to be believed when they say something is wrong with their bodies. Labor can change quickly, and dismissing a patient who is clearly in distress can have serious consequences. My experience with Dana was traumatic. I would not recommend her to women seeking compassionate, attentive labor and delivery care.

I was referred to Dr. Edwards through a friend. Her nurse was very nice and understanding. Dr. Edwards herself was rude, and did not listen to me and my concerns. It was a terrible experience and I would never recommend her. She did not explain anything, and she would not listen to me.

She is not friendly does not take enough time to talk about patient concerns, she doesnt care what you have to say basically she was my obstetrician because of insurance, i had many health issues while i was pregnant gestational diabetis things of that nature,and my child was growing way too fast i talked to her about possibly inducing my labor early she didnt want to do that.. well, because of that my child was almost 12lbs, i tore down there it was awful, my labor was horrifying not even the epidural helped. i have 3 other children and this is the labor i will never forget because of how horrible the whole experience was. Do not see Dr. Edwards she wasnt caring at all and i guarantee sometime along your pregnancy you will regret it..find a better Dr.

When arriving to Bakersfield pregnant Dr Edwards was the only one dr i got a recommendation for. I visited her anyways, and blessed the day. She was totally encouraging for VBAC, so after an awful first c-section experience(abroad) with my first, I had 2 wonderful natural healthy births. Over the pregnancy she was carefull in every detail, she has the most proper bedside manners, takes her time to answer whatever you need to know in coloquial english, BUT yes, she is a busy dr so got me crying of frustration sometimes because of the long wait. I would recommend her anyways (make sure to ask about waiting time when you arrive)... I do and all my friends that chose her as their OB are extremely happy. As and gynec. she's also saved my friend's life getting her a right diagnost on time.
