Dr. Daniel Brockett, PhD

This is no ordinary therapist. He is a neurologist and psychotherapist. He is empathetic, brilliant and broadly capable. Even more appealing, he is unfailingly kind. His forte is dementia. Cool guy. And to top it all -- he has a great sense of humor.

I first saw Dan Brockett thirteen years ago after being diagnosed with breast cancer, surgery, chemo and radiation. I found him in the Southbury phone book. As a RN, I vet (to evaluate for possible approval or acceptance) ALL my health care providers. This "find" was truly a gift from heaven! Dan is an excellent listener. Not only is he a great listener, he hears what I'm saying. There is a big difference. He is compassionate, empathic, extremely patient and extremely knowledgeable. Dan is not your ordinary therapist. He is a Neuropsychologist (a science concerned with the integration of psychological observations on behavior and the mind with neurological observations on the brain and nervous system). Again, there is a big difference. I could never adequately express my gratitude to him for all his patience and help. A very grateful patient.
