Dr. Daniel Jin Hoh, MD

Excellent surgeon who explains everything well and treats patients with respect

Don’t know about his technical skills but people skills poor. Doesn’t want to waste his valuable time listening to you. Strange since he was a psychology major.

Dr. Hoh is not only an excellent surgeon, he pays attention to the concerns of his patients.

I did my research. I chose Dr. Daniel Hoh based on my quest for answers, and his purported knowledge and skills. I submitted my medical information for the pre-screening process he requires before he agrees to see you. His office contacted me to schedule an appointment, so apparently after his review of my medical information, I passed his pre-screening standards to be included as a patient. After waiting nearly two months to see Dr. Hoh, filling out the intake paperwork, paying an incredible co-pay, providing medical information for his review, Dr. Daniel Hoh spent less than ten minutes in the examination room with me. After less than ten minutes of his time his final diagnosis was normal degenerative disc disease...though by his own admission he never reviewed my prior medical history....a major factor in anyone's diagnosis... a baseline for the assessment of anyone's current condition, AND information which I provided as part of the services that I expected and paid for. I… am appalled at Dr. Hoh's treatment of me. I am appalled at his dismissing my medical history and yet he provide a diagnosis. Dr. Daniel Hoh, by his own admission, did not use or refer to my medical history to provide a diagnosis...as a mere patient, yet in charge of my care, I find that less than professional and definitely less than the professionalism and quality of care I was looking for. I hope this helps the next inquiring person looking for help so they are not, as I was, ill served by this Doctor.

I have had several previous spinal surgeries at other hospitals, so was quite anxious about having another. Dr. Hoh inspired confidence from first visit to discharge. He answered my questions and never seemed rushed; his relaxed manner put me at ease. I would recommend him most highly and I am very grateful for the expert care he provided to me.

Dr. Hoh seemed to solve most of my back issues. The rest is up to me - weight loss and exercises to strengthen my core. I highly recommend Dr. Hoh for spinal surgery.

Was injuries in car accident when tried to get to see him he said no and then 2 months later bc a neurologist called him to see me miracouly he seen me....by this time I was wheelchair wheelchairbound with spinalncord compression in cervical spine c5-c7 and all I got was why didnt prior surgeon help you...why didnt prior surgeon redo mris and I said why arent you...told me there wasnt enough compression at c5-c7 to be causing my paralysis , even though I was wheelchair boubd unable to walk move my legs use my legs and hadweakness in my shoulders and hands...threw in my face the neurologist called him to see me and i was there for his opinion and I said no I was there for HELP....I said to him why did you say No to see me 2 months ago but 2 month later you say yes...I got no answer....he told me it was my middle back causing my paralysis and order a thoracic MRI which his office never got approved with my inaurance company and never heard from them again....this was in Oct 2015 when… this happen...Dr hoh talk to me like I was nothing...he assistant said everyone is different and how much compression effects 1 may not effect another....said I showed unusual delayed progression cervical myelopathy and paraparaesis after my accident, when everyday after my accident I worsen and worsen even with doctor care...11 days after my accident was barely ambulatory and by 3 months I was wheelchair bound...I seen him 3 months after I was already wheelchair bound paralysis....So no idea how that's unusual and I even asked him and got no answer...

He maybe a great in the operating room. My post op care was non existent. I am still in pain after surgery He and his staff did not care. I guess I am not one of the successful cases.

He is WONDERFUL !!! He did a Spinal Fusion L-5-L-5-S-1 on me and its been 2 yrs now and I'm stronger than ever. I couldn't walk when I went to him. The staff was the best ever. I had had 2 prior spinal fusions that were not good. He corrected everything!

very caring,informative, spent a lot of time with us explaining problem and possible solutions. followed up in hospital after surgery promptly,good guy all around.
