Without a doubt, the best orthopedic doctor. Fixed my knee which healed in a week after surgery. Great person, great surgeon and I had a consultation on my 1st visit. Thanks for making me pain free again.

Dr. Mullen did my total knee replacement on Dec,1. After 6 weeks, I am so please with the results. He is a fantastic Orthopedic Surgeon. So caring and willing to listen. Office staff is very accommodating and friendly.

In 2017, Dr. Mullen replaced both my knees. Since then, I have been 100% pleased with my knee replacements. No pain anymore, and my scars are minor. And his bedside manner is great, too. Awesome job, Dr. Mullen!!!!

Friendly, personable, prompt, professional. Spends time with you. Answers all questions. Explains issue in lay terms. Gives treatment options and lets you decide. Staff was great as well.

Very nice man, good communicater....however get a copy of the xray(new hip) I fell a year later, ended up in the hospital in WA state, for almost a week, because we could not get pictures, ( they needed to compare to see if and how the hardware was damaged so they could repair it!!) The software was not compatable to transfer pics??!! Unbelievable in these technical times...AND they would only send them to me, and I'm in the hospital!

I fell like I have a lot of life to live. Dr. Mullen was the 4th surgeon I visited to get a consultation on my knees. I was bone on bone after years of sports. He was approachable, no nonsense, and very knowledgeable but used terms easy for me to understand. I felt at ease after my visit. Had the left knee done a year ago and was so happy with the result I had the right one done a few weeks ago. My therapists are amazed at the quality and healing of my incision. I am 69 years old and semi-retired. Most of my life golf has been my favorite sport and time to spend with special friends. A year ago I develop major pain in my left shoulder, after having an MRI Dr. Mullen confirmed that I had developed a torn Rotator Cuff. Initially to avoid major surgery we did steroid injections every 3 months for a year. It gave me a little relief in the beginning but then continued to just get more pain full. I wasn’t able to even lift a water glass much less try to swing a gold club and I wasn’t able to play all year. Golfing with friends was the joy of my life and it was so disappointing when I could no longer get out to play. Now a year later Dr Mullen and I had a serious talk about major surgery to repair my Torn Rotator Cuff. That surgery requires a very long and uncomfortable recovery period. As we were talking in his office, Dr Mullen suggested Stem Cell Treatments as an alternative to avoid a major surgery. I have heard of this new treatment but… really didn’t knew very much about it. Dr Mullen explained the process of injecting stem cells into my shoulder a total of 3 injections 1 every 2 weeks. After the first injection I started to feel my pain level going down. After the 2nd injection I could start to move my arm a little more being very careful. After my 3rd and final injection it took about 3 months till I felt my shoulder had become completely healed!! What an incredible relief, what a blessing to have avoided a major surgery shoulder surgery. For me it is still so hard to believe how successful the Stem Cell Treatment was. I strongly suggest to anyone suffering from a Torn Rotator Cuff to visit with Dr. Mullen about his Stem Cell Treatments before considering a major shoulder surgery. A few injections over a few months was a life saver for me and could be for you too. I am so happy to be able to share this incredible experience with you. I am a 71 year old retired physical therapist who loves tennis and plays 2-3 times per week. I just had Dr. Mullen do a total knee replacement on my left knee and was able to play some tennis again after only 7 weeks. As a retired physical therapist, I was very impressed with his protocol from start to finish.

I am a relatively active 69 year old male, enjoying camping/fishing, hiking, riding my recumbent trike, and weight lifting. Approximately 2 years ago my shoulder turned into a mess after years of activity and abuse. Had it checked out, turns out 3 of the 4 rotator cuff connective tissues had tears, based on an MRI. Doc Dan performed surgery to make the repairs, once inside my shoulder he observed an additional tear that was not visible on the MRI, and made that repair as well, demonstrating his acute awareness of the area while performing the surgery. My shoulder feels better now than when I was in my 40’s. At the start of this year my left hip became very painful, had that checked out with CT scan, X-rays, MRI, and Ultrasound. My hip joint was a mess along with some back issues, spinal stenosis, and spondylolethisis. Needed to do more diagnostics to determine which of these issues was the problem. The back issues were ruled out, went back to Doc Dan, based on his X-rays my hip joint… was bone on bone and required replacement. Had the hip replacement surgery, everything went extremely well. I consider Doc Dan my miracle worker, he basically gave me back my quality of life. With both surgeries, and I guess this can relate to his expertise and knowledge while performing the surgeries, I did not have to take any pain medication during recovery and rehab, this is a testament showing how good he is at what he does. In addition his professionalism during the consultation and his bed side manners are exceptional. The proof is in the pudding so to speak, 8 weeks after hip surgery I was back walking and fishing at my favorite river location doing what I love, spending quality time with my wife our 2 dogs, being active and enjoying nature.
