Dr. Daniel Luigi Santa Maria, MD

My mom was referred to Dr Santa Maria for a shoulder injury. He sent her for an MRI and was suppose to discuss the findings with her, and come up with next steps for pain management. It’s been over 3 weeks. There’s been no call. We’ve reach out to him and his office multiple times and have yet to hear back. Don’t waste your time with him.

i first went to Dr Santa Maria for pain in my hip and back. Dr Santa Maria took different tests and finally came to a conclusion that it was in the Bursa in the hip. sent me to the radiology dept. with the ultrasound found the exact location of the bursa. one shot and it was over. No more pain Dr is very knowledgeable and excellent in telling you exactly what is going on. I have found my new orthopedic doctor.

When I was referred to Dr. Santa Maria, I was in pain from my hip. I had tried Airrosti therapy and it helped but not enough. It was easy and fast to get an appointment. He talked to me about the problem, where it was and they had an xray done right in the office. He came back and gave me a diagnosis of arthritis of the hip. He spent time talking to me about exactly what that meant and then explained all the options I had. I decided to start with PT, later I had a shot and continued PT. Dr. Santa Maria was always helpful in explaining what was going on and made sure I was comfortable with everything and supported every decision I made. I will definitely return to him in the future if I need more treatment for the hip or any other problem he treats.

This doctor recommended me to do an MRI on my left shoulder. He later received the results and also did an ultra sound. After the ultra sound he said "this is just as good as the MRI!" After he made me spend over 2,000 dollars for the same diagnosis. Also, he misdiagnosed me the first and second time. Would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Unless you want to throw thousands of dollars away.
