I got injured in an accident. After 3 months, pain and disability was still a major factor. He prescribed physical therapy which worsened the pain and disability. In spite of that, he released me from his care with a "you ought to be as good as new!". I went to another doctor who had an MRI done, which showed that the fractures were still there. So the physical therapy made the situation worse. IMO, he couldn't care less about patients.

My Mom was admitted for a hip fracture. Her Surgeon was Dr. Segina. Excellent bedside manner. Answered all questions. Very patient and kind. Pulled us into a room after the surgery for privacy to discuss my moms case. Very impressed.

I've had the unfortunate luck to have had two separate orthopedic trauma accidents, but I could not have been more fortunate to have Dr. Segina as my trauma surgeon. I'm certain there are very few that have honed their craft as well as Dr. Segina. My first trauma injury was a left knee patella fracture and displacement. Due to the experience of Dr. Segina, I had a complete recovery and have full range of motion. This was an unexpected outcome for all. My second injury was a fractured hip and a herniation of the muscle. He was able to repair both without resorting to a hip replacement (due to my age, I was 53) a repair was better than a replacement. The outcome was successful. Dr. Segina repaired the fracture, and I currently have no pain even though there was significant damage and some arthritis in the joint.

The best! Just the best! He took time with my husband who broke both ankles. GREAT bedside manor, very informative. My husband after several long months with NO pain medication is now walking, biking and dancing again!!! Thanks you so very much for giving him his life back.

I was involved in a head on collision with a semi in 2005. Dr Segina repaired the compound fracture on my left femur when other doctors said it was irreparable. He took time to speak with me during my many follow up visits. His confidence inspired me to work until I was completely healed. I have never met a more caring and knowledgable physician.

My son had a severe fracture of his arm and Dr Segina gave him wonderful and compassionate care. Our whole experience at Holmes Regional was positive.

During a very traumatic time after my injury, Dr. Segina operated on me and got me back on my feet in less than 3 months. He is the most compassionate and thorough doctor I have have ever met. I never felt rushed and he always took all the time needed during my visits. All my questions were always answered promptly. Everyone that I spoke to told me that I was lucky to have Dr. Segina on my case and as my surgeon and I must say that I truly believe that he is the best in his field and an incredible human being.

I became Dr Segina's patient after a head on collision that I had last year. I was brought in literally near death and he and 4 other surgeons worked for 11 straight hours to repair all the problems I had (far too many to name here). Since then Dr Segina has had to do 3 more surgeries on me and is getting ready for a 4th. He has always been incredibly nice and patient, he explains all the procedures and xrays so that I know exactly what I am looking at and what i can expect for any situation. Everyone should see him if they get a choice. I just got lucky. Thanks to him I am metally reinforced and ALIVE.

He treated me exceptionally well. A wonderful trauma surgeon. Absolutely the best!
