The whole experience was amazing. I really enjoyed working with Dr. Shepherd and his team. I had an outpatient discectomy surgery and it helped tremendously with my sciatica. He seems to really care about his patients.

My husband and I just love Dr. Shepherd. He is very thorough and spent a lot of time with us in clinic and in the hospital.

He seemed down to earth and easy to talk with. He is to the point which I like. He really helped me get over my sciatica pain.

He was the surgeon who took out my mother's brain tumor. He was very thorough and polite. He was constantly checking on our family to make sure we informed and understand my mother's disease. I do not have enough good things to say about this doctor!

He is a friendly doctor and very upfront about symptoms surgery can help with.

Dr Shepherd went above and beyond to not only make sure I was informed but to continue to check up on me. He was very personable and professional. If you have to go thru a back surgery or any kind of surgery this man is a God send! I give him a 15 out of 10! He wasn't hard to locate or understand.

One of our family members was involved in a car accident in 2017 that require surgery for a broken back. Dr. Shepherd was the chief resident on call. He was very courteous, and he always had time for my family. He explained things in ways that was easy for us to understand. Most importantly, our dad had a great surgical outcome! We are grateful for Dr. Shepherd and the Mayo Clinic.

I was evaluated by Dr. Shepherd for a right arm radiculopathy. He is very thorough and did a great job of explaining my procedure and what to expect. I feel great now. My arm pain is gone!
