Dr. Danielle Haber, MD

I was having a conversation the other day about those experiences in life that are so negative, they stick with you forever. One of the first things that came to mind was 10+ years ago visiting Dr. Haber to deal with my first onset of genetic anxiety and depression. It was a scary and confusing time that required comfort, kindness, understanding and patience. Yet, I have vivid memories of how condescending, forceful and arrogant Dr. Haber was, completely unwilling to understand why a TWELVE YEAR OLD was nervous and skeptical about taking a prescription that would magically fix everything. I will cut short the narrative by just highlighting that my eagerness to write this review 10 years later speaks for itself.

Dr. Haber is caring and kind and treated my teenager with such empathy that it brought tears to my eyes. She is straightforward and excellent at what she does -- really solicited feedback after each medication to make sure we fine-tuned my daughter's treatment. She even called us at home to follow up. Can't say enough good things about her. Dr. Haber is thorough and takes her time -- a doctor who doesn't rush a patient is a rare commodity these days. She's a real gem.

I have had a lot of psychiatrists due to moving around, being dissatisfied, and changes in insurance; Dr. Haber is by far the best psychiatrist I have ever had. I began seeing Dr. Haber after having a horrible experience with a different psychiatrist in San Diego County. I was in really bad shape after having been over-medicated to the point of mania, but Dr. Haber took the time to listen to me and helped me get on the right medication. Unfortunately I had to relocate several months after being under her care and I have yet to find a psychiatrist that I like as well as Dr. Haber.

Dr.Haber took care of my 5 year old son in Houston when he first began experiencing serious behavioral problems. She was so caring, approachable and knowledgeable. She made a major breakthrough in his psychiatric care. That was 13 years ago. It broke our hearts when she left Houston but we will never forget all the good she did for us. We have seen about 10 psychiatrists since then, and not one has come close to Dr. Haber. We really miss her.
