Dr. Danielle Ulian, PSY. D.

I had been seeing Dr. Ulian for approximately 3 years and everything was fine until my last visit. I brought up the fact that I felt uncomfortable with her driving and having a phone session with me. I was worried she would get into an accident and I felt she wasn’t giving me her full attention while driving. Unfortunately that didn’t set well with her and she took it and made it personal. She got extremely frustrated and started comparing me with her family, to be exact, her mother. Then she used my personal experiences I have shared with her during our sessions to project her frustrations onto me. She started saying, “I can’t help and feel that this is how your husband feels when you talk to him.” Keeping in mind that we were not talking about my issues, we were talking about how it made me feel uncomfortable talking to her while she was driving. But after the discussion, I apologized to her and admitted that things got out of control and she didn’t even have the professionalism… to admit her mistakes and apologize. She went ahead and still blamed it all on me. After that day, she retaliated by having her secretary call me to charge me a “supposedly” 5 week old late fee. Of course I texted her and told her that she was very unprofessional and that I was very disappointed with her. The next day her secretary told me it had been a mistake and that there was no late fee. I know we are all humans and are not perfect. But unfortunately, her being a therapist should of had not acted the way she did. Or at least she should of had admitted her mistakes and apologized. But in her world she does not do no harm. I learned that She preaches was she does not do.
