She should NOT be psychologist! What kind of psychologist sends their patients TO COLLECTIONS WITHOUT EVEN TELLING THEM ABOUT A CHARGE? My WOSRT experience ever, what she did was wrong and UNETHICAL! am reporting her to the California Board of Psychology, but I am also posting this review, so other people can read this! Long story short: I ENDED UP NOT GETTING THE SERVICES that I waited for a long time to get. But not only that - she also sent me to a COLLECTION AGENCY about a charge I was not even aware of!! On top of that, she tried OVERCHARGING ME! To be clear, CHARGING ISSUES WERE NOT THE ONLY PROBLEM, but that is what got me to write this review! Her entire approach and the way she treated me was really disappointing. That is not what a psychologist is supposed to act like! But let me explain this in more detail: The charge was for a 3-hour evaluation session. I was 30 min late for that session. (my bad, blame it on my ADD). I asked if we could use the remaining… 2.5 hours to still have the session or reschedule or another date, but she was really harsh and uncompromising and refused to reschedule any further appointments. She told me she will just close my file. But DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT CHARGING ME. MIssing the session that I’ve been waiting 6 months for, after having 3 intake appointments (which I had to pay co-pays for) - that was devastating enough! But turned out, that was not the worst part! 3 months later, out of the blue, I get a call from a COLLECTION AGENCY (about a medical bill). I was shocked and had no clue what medical bill they were talking about… ADHD can make daily life a struggle, but I am REALLY anxious about money and bills and make it a point to pay everything on time! After finding out that the bill was from her, I emailed her and asked how come that even happened. She told me that was a charge for a missed appointment and that she told me that the paperworks I signed states she can charge me for missed appointments. I reviewed the paperwork, and it said that there can be a charge for missed appointments, but the amount she was trying to bill was WAY TOO HIGH ($200 more than it should be)! She also told me she supposedly sent some statements in the mail to my old address (I just recently moved). But that was weird, because I set up mail forwarding with the USPS right away after moving, so it’s really weird that I never received them. Anyway, she sent me pdf files with the statements - two of them were for the correct amount, and on the third one, the amount was randomly increased by $200… I knew she didn’t sell the debt, but just hired the agency to collect it, so asked her (in the email) if she could take the debt back from collections, if I pay her directly, because I am worried about my credit score being affected. But her only response was: “You will have to work with the collection agency from this point forward”. WOW! THAT IS A GREAT WAY TO TREAT YOUR PATIENTS (AND PEOPLE IN GENERAL)!
