Excellent physician

Dr Frank repaired my rotator cuff and repaired a torn MCL for me. He made me very comfortable going in for the shoulder surgery. I knew MCL repair was really not major surgery, but the shoulder really had me afraid. He sat with my husband and me and explained everything that would be happening very thoroughly. I had total confidence in him. The surgery went very well and I love Dr Frank for removing that awful pain. I highly recommend him.

I recently underwent ACL reconstruction with Dr. Frank as my surgeon. During the initial evaluation and diagnosis period, I found him to be direct and concise with his medical guidance on the injury and possible courses of treatment. He was willing to answer any questions I had about the upcoming procedure. His assistant, Jaymie, also took the time to return several phone calls and answer concerns I thought of after the scheduled appointments. After the surgery, I was pleasantly surprised at my rapid recovery. I was back to work at my desk job less than a week later with almost no surgical pain, and my physical therapy has progressed faster than my expectations. In the follow up appointments, Dr. Frank and his team showed the same high level of professional care as they did prior to the procedure. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon to my closest friends and family. Thank you Dr. Frank, Jaymie and all the support team members for an outstanding treatment and recovery!

I was referred to Dr. Frank for chronic knee pain that did not decrease significantly after physical therapy. Prior to the visit I had an MRI and X-ray which the doctor and Nurse Practitioner reviewed. As many others have said, Dr. Frank spent about 5-10 minutes with me. However, during that time he examined my knee and also was able to offer a clear explanation of my condition along with a credible justification for the course of treatment. I was happy that he did not immediately suggest surgery. over other options and was able to explain the consequences of both approaches. His office staff is very friendly as well.

As a college student in Pittsburgh, I am unfamiliar with the doctors in the area. I was randomly assigned to Dr. Frank through a referral. Dr. Frank saw me for maybe 2 minutes. I had X rays taken, but I was never shown them, he did not explain anything, and basically told me that my pain was just something that happens now and then to people. It seemed as though he thought I was making up the pain. I left feeling frustrated and worried for my health. I decided to get a second opinion and I am so glad that I did. This time I was able to see my X-rays and actually discuss the results with my doctor. My knee cap was very clearly dislocated. Getting a second opinion saved my leg!

Would not recommend. Follow up and advice for care was poor and lacking. Would highly recommend finding a different surgeon

Only saw me for 30-40 seconds then left told PA to inject my knee needs more time and caring at bedside worked as a nurse for 38 years

Great surgeon. Highly recommend if you have knee problems.
