I have had surgeries from Dr Kan on both shoulders since 2004 and continue to use him to this day. He is the only one that I go to. He has the experience and expertise. Straight forward, no nonsense, type of orthopedic surgeon that will get the job done right. He will answer all your questions and address your concerns immediately. His staff is like family and you always feel comfortable. When you want things expedited because of medical insurance delays or lagging referrals, his staff will go all out for you moving forward always.

I love working with Dr. Daryl Kan and his entire nursing staff, front desk, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistant and Physical Therapy team (Pro PT). They are very professional and helpful. I’m seven months out from shoulder surgery for torn rotator cuff and am progressing very well with my recovery. Dr. Darryl Kan is very reassuring regarding my necessary ankle surgery which I stubbornly postponed for the last seven years despite all the pains suffered. He successfully convinced me that the surgery is “nothing for me to worry about.” Yes, I can honestly concur that his skilled surgery on my ankle was successful and “nothing for me to worry…”. After a few days, the ankle is healing properly with pain gradually subsiding. I strongly recommend Dr. Kan for his surgery skill as well as his reassuring “bedside manner.” Dr. Darryl Kan is a fantastic surgeon. Don’t worry about your surgery, he will make you whole!

Dr Kan is the best to me hands down! Dr. Kan had did my left shoulder surgery 11 years ago, my shoulder is still working at 98% after the surgery. It was a pretty big surgery for my shoulder. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk with, he answered all my questions and my wife’s questions too. I highly recommend Dr Kan to do surgery on anyone for sports medicine and orthopedic procedures, because I like in Hilo on the Big Island Dr Kan had me go to a great physical therapist after my surgery.
