Dr. Darryl Thomas Mueller, MD

Dr. Mueller may be a highly qualified physician. However, in the 90 seconds of my appointment, I found him to be a headstrong, intractable, unpleasant man. He entered the exam room and asked what I've been experiencing. I gestured to my intake chart and indicated that I had written a summary of the appointments that I've had with my PCP and the results. (I wanted to be thorough and not forget something in the retelling.) Dr. Mueller responded that he wanted to hear it from me. I replied that what I had written "was from me". He stood up and said that he would be unable to continue with me and that we would not be able to have a relationship, and that I could see one of the other doctors. I asked if there could be a "second chance", and he responded that it would need to be with one of his associates and he left the room. Initially, as I was at the receptionist window, I overheard the patient beside me say that her appointment with him was 15 minutes after my scheduled time. It… seems unusual to me that Berks ENT would believe that an initial, intake appointment for history, current presentation, and exam would be 15 minutes. I declined their offer to reschedule with a different physician.

He truly saved my child. I can not recommend him more highly! He is thoughtful and kind and very skilled. Thank you so much Dr. Mueller! We are so grateful to have you!!

He is honestly one of the best physicians I’ve ever seen. He was able to give my son the ability to hear again after a cochlear implant. Not only that, but he has an amazing, kind bedside manner. I can not recommend him more highly

My 6 year old daughter saw Dr. Mueller. He spent time with us and explained everything. I then went to him and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. He explained the surgery and treatment. He spent a long time with me answering questions.

He did not even introduce himself to me and I had never met him before. He did no spend much time explaining things and seemed pre-occupied. He also ran tests on me without explaining why or what he was looking for. I had to wait 10 to 20 minutes between each test as well as waiting to see him each time. This occurred at least six times during my visit.
